Sigma Video Poker M Door

I can not seem to reset the machine to take money.  On the lower right hand side of the screen just above "Insert Coins" it says "M DOOR".  The "M" is blue & the "DOOR" is red.  Coins dropped in come right through to the tray and bills come back out of the validator.  I have tried removing the bill validator, and coin mech, closing the contacts on the money door and front door, with no luck.  Buddy

I'm not familiar with the Sigma, but M door almost certainly refers to the Main Door being seen as open by the processor. Since, you stated in your post that you've closed the contacts on the main door with no result, I would check the wiring harness for continuity with a DVM.

If the Sigma uses a cherry switch, check it as well. If it uses optics, things get more complicated. You can check to see if the sending optic is working by looking at it through the LCD screen of a digital camera. If the switch and harness are okay, it might be the board, in which case I will defer to members who know more than I about the Sigma machines.
