1700 C.C rejecting coins.

A little background...
I picked up two Sigma 1700 awhile ago. One had a defective PCP board and was missing the power supply. So I made sure the one worked totally,then pulled the parts I needed for the other one to make sure that everthing in it worked(mainy the monitor ). Everthing worked in the 2nd one except the coin comparitor,figured I would get to it one day  .

Well,that day is here    I picked up a power supply and had the board repaired and put the other one on a stand.
EVERTHING FROM HERE ON IS ONE MACHINE

The one that had the working CC in it,no longer works . Both CC light up green ,but ons CC sends all the coins back to the tray( tried diff samples,and adj. it ).The other CC will give me a credit maybe one out fifty coins. Other times it will give me a "slug error" ,however,with this CC all coins go to the hopper. I tried cleaning the optics also

If you are using mismatched tokens, it may be due to the metal content being variably different than your sample coin. turn the sensitivity all the way down on the one that is intermittently accepting coins and maybe try inserting 6-7 of the same type token and see if it will register consecutively.

Did you try to turn coin censor back on compairitor counter clock wise

Yes,I turned it all the way down. Even tried coins as I turned it slowly

Any luck with this? You could have a bad Micro comparitor.
Sigma 1700 needs a micro comparitor or an IDX.

Hi Clay,I figured out part of it. See the picture below. I forgot what its called (where the pen is). Anyway,this is not retracting for some reason. Tried checking to see if the solinoid was getting voltage but ALL of my meters were dead  . By the time I picked up new batteries,the machine was moved to "storage" so I can build more stands. If I put something under it to hold it back it works fine. I'm using the MC40 and tried four diff. ones. I'll get back to it next week and post what it was.

That's the "reject claw". Sometimes it does not pull in.
When i have a coin comparitor error, i often bend this
back (so it lets the coin go through), and then retest
the coin comparitor. I have seen the claw not work,
but the rest of the comparitor is fine. so it's a good test.

If the comparitor works with the claw bent back, i just
leave the claw bent and use the comparitor. casinos
wouldn't do that, but comparitors are sometimes hard
to find. the claw is used as a reject mechanism if the
coin does not pass the comparitor's check. if a coin fails
the comparitor, since the claw is bent, it will still go
through. then the game will give a "coin error", and
you will have to open and close the front door. because
of this, i turn the comparitor adjustor all the way down
so it does not reject coins very often.

That was what I did before I moved it and it worked fine. I'll play with it more when I finish the stands. And see if I can figure out why. It worked fine for months,then just one day it went to  . Same as the rest I tried,so fifured it was a voltage problem.
