Yes, it is an extender board for a WMS 550 1.5 mpu board.

Here's what I have.   The extender will fit fine in this board.  I don't want to make sure it will work before I FRY something.

What does an "eprom extender" do?
Allow you to play a different game?
Or hold multiple games on the mainboard like a Gameking perhaps?

That's what I hope someone will know.  It isn't multiple games because there are two eproms on the extender and two eproms needed on the board.   Scratch Head

WMS made that board so they could use 8MB eproms on the older boards, but it was created for the Video Slot and not the Reel.  I do not know any Reel games that had 8MB OS / Game but I could be wrong.

All it does for you is to allow 8MB to be used in the older boards and nothing else.    The newer boards known as 1.5+ do not use an extender and have a jumper for 4MB or 8 MB eproms.

Also you need to use the -3 board and not the -2 when using it for the video slot plus you need the video piggy board.

The software shown installed in the extender is for the Jackpot party video hopper version.

The extender goes in the XU-2 / Xu-3 slot in place of the installed eproms.
