My Double Diamond has decided to stop working.
When I turn it on it acts like it's going to work.
But after the reels spin and stop it displays 5 in the Coins played and alternates between 25 and 128 is the Winner paid.
And that's about it. Does any body have any ideas?

Chris

Hi Chris, welcome to NewLifeGames!  wave

Have you tried dropping a coin into the machine or putting a bill in the validator?
It sounds like the machine is displaying your last win of 25 coins and your last cashout of 128 coins. Scratch Head
If that is the case, it is probably in idle mode and ready to play.

I tried to put a coin in and it just falls right trough.

OMG! I just tried it again after putting a different coin in the comparator and it works. I feel like such a tool.

Glad to hear that it's working. You might want to turn down the sensitivity of the comparitor. If you open the door and look at the face of the comparitor you should see a hole with a recessed potentiometer that can be turned using a small jewleler's Phillips head screwdriver. There should also be a rounded arrow with plus and minus signs above the hole. Turn the screwdriver counter clockwise to decrease the selectivity of the comparitor.

Are you using tokens or monetary coins (quarters, etc.)? Tokens from different manufacturers are often composed of sufficiently different alloys to preclude their use in a common machine. If that is the problem then you will need to select one type of token and weed out the rest, or consider using an X10 comparator that can be programmed to accept multiple types of coins concurrently.
