You may want to post your request over in the monitor repair section in case there are some monitor experts there who may not check this section.

Edited to correct the link thanks to SF's correction.

I'm sorry to correct you knagl, but the monitor repair logs database that you referenced is not for questions; it is for documentation of repairs and tips.

Please post monitor repair help requests in the Monitor Repair Tech Support board.

Thanks

Not knowing a thing about monitors....lol
can I walk out on a limb here and suggest looking at the knob/switch the controls the pincushion?
Maybe contacts inside the knob's switch have become "oxidized" from years of hot, dry heat...
The contacts become coated with residue and begin to act intermittently...
I'm thinking you could spray the switch's contact point with some type of contact spray cleaner?

Now why would anyone want to sit on cushions with pins in it?.... Tongue Out

I can tell you know littler about this monitor lol, this is the digital version of a 1903, all of the adjustments are done in a menu on the screen, no knobs to turn or get dirty, have fixed this same problem on a 1903 monitor, but have not had much experience with the 1982.
