Got eight Game Kings and they were suppose to come with 3802 MPU borads. However, six of the eight came with 3902 MPU's with MMII boards. The question I have is can these be changed to I or I+ games and what is involved to do do ??? Any help will be greatly appeciated. thanks. Also is there a list of eproms for the 3802 boards.

You can install I+ games with no issues, the only thing you might be missing is the second or upper row of buttons which are not really needed to play the game.

And if you are thinking about upgrading it to the GameKing Enhance which requires a motherboard change and some harness changing. Forget it. Its a major pain.

Please help me understand;
if you have an IGT Game King which is an enhanced machine, correct board with three Simm slots and a multimedia lite II board for I-game or S2000 they can play I-Games on this machine without the other five top row buttons with no problem?

Thanks

Richard,

You will have to use your touch screen for the top row buttons.

Easy way to tell is it ends with 801 or 802 (most of the time)

801 will work as the primary card but not for the second I/O which is the second row etc.

Hi Eric... Im currently trying to make this convertion happen (old gameking to gameking enhanced with 044 processor board), I have several parts already:

- New 044 processor board

- Game (the little board with all the surface mount ICs containing the game itself PN: 76828601)

- New I/O board (PN: 75427802)

- Game King Deluxe motherboard (PN: 75908800W)

Im trying to find info about a harness Im missing [IGT Harness Button to I/O Board #HARN J60783101 (see attached picture)]

Do you have more info (detailed if possible) about this convertion??   I know it would be easier to replace the whole machine, but what about the FUN of working/converting slots  propeller

I also understand that this convertion would require the replace of my old CRT "analog" monitor for a new "digital" one (thanks Jim)....  Have you Eric numbers and prices of the parts Im missing??

Thanks in advance for your comments.

Best regards

I just Pm'd you.
Also. looking at the harness picture, you are missing the validator harnessing and the parts of the harness for the reset key and meters.
Thanks,
Eric
