as promised here is my Wurlitzer - different payscale than Knagl  - the SOUND problem was a BAD SPEAKER - of the 3 machines I picked up 2 had bad speakers.  Up and running.

It looks like it's just a clone of the S+ "wild star" RWB game (bible link).  Neat idea, though.

There were Neon ones in clear cases, usually in a progressive bank and they were at the ends, they were bigger than a regular machine with the bubbler tubes, the program is a RWB Wild Star on the game pictured, Chris Coin Op sold many of these

thanks for all the info (less the pashislo)  - having someone pick it up hopefully as we speak - supposedly came off a so. fla cruise ship - there are 3 machines in the lot -  rwb and a haywire and the price is RIGHT.  I will know in the morning if my friend got there before others.  I was just curious about it as I could not find any refer.  just wanted to make sure it wasn't some licensed game like a WOF.  thanks again all.

It's kinda strange that IGT would go through the lengths of designing the Wurlitzer glass....
check out the reel glass, everything matches...pretty neat, and very nice... but...but...

why not design a different paytable and use more designs/different symbols in the strips ?
Instead of that same old stupid red , white, and blue sevens which are already on every 20 million RWB machine in the world already? Scratch Head

I mean, c'mon...nice glass,but.... frying pan

Can't you guys at IGT use your resources and imagination a little more?... Tongue Out

by the way...... the cabinet and reel display looks like a good ole S+ with the door DBV.
nothing really special though but I still love the glass.... yummy
I imagine that IGT maybe programming different music in the chip?
That may be asking too much of them though....lol

Simple answer:  money money
It was and is a lengthy and expensive process getting the gaming commission to sign off on a chip design. By using a pre-approved chipset with different artwork, no more approvals were necessary: saved IGT big bucks. So actually, they were  using their resources and imagination designing games that would save the company time and money getting the new themes onto the casino floors.

They could have replaced those same old red, white, blue 7's with Platinium, Gold, and Silver records using the same approved chip.
And of course, platinium, gold, and silver bars.
