I have been looking for a VP machine for a while but in the Northeast, there seems to be NOTHING!  There is one machine I noticed that is a "Tournament" machine.  It does not work and may be missing parts, but I'm getting desperate arrow  I see that there is no coin mech, hopper, etc... and no monetary markings on the glass.  Would it be to much of a pain to convert this machine to a regular one?  Its a Sigma Joker's Wild..  Wondering if its worth the drive and time...

rilaw,

Just my two cents with sigma's. No parts, no support, few jackpots. Some member on old site claims they make good boat anchors, but with one time use it could get expensive. I am sure there may be NLG members that swear by them. I wouldn't make the trip unless he pays for your gas and then some and don't do the deal if it's in his boat.

If it's a video poker then they shouldn't be able to control the number of jackpots.   propeller

I agree, though, if it isn't working that spells trouble as there isn't a ton of knowledge around about the machines, and parts are very hard to find.  Unless it's free, I think I'd pass.

Thank You for your input guys, I will avoid it.  I guess I will find a VP someday, will just have to hold out bawling  It makes me sick when I look at Craigslist in Reno/Vegas/AZ etc.. hissy fit  There really is a slim supply of slots in my area....

Here was the machine I was talking about (I did not post it before because I wanted to win it):

I think you've made a wise decision. There are of course parts out there, but Sigma was a small player. Ballly and IGT had the lion's share of the slot and video market. It's time you made a road trip out west. yes

Guess I did not learn, bought a Sigma anyway....  But on a good note, it was only $100 and works fine.  It cleaned up nice and I found the parts I was looking for (Had to hunt online, no one on here replied to my requests:( ) to convert it back to "quarter in, quarter out" status:)

Sorry, my file was too large and I had no program to resize due to a virus related hard drive reformat. Here you go...

I actually found someone who has the same machine, minus a monitor, weird.   Anyway, looks like I'm buying all the guts (boards, hopper, bill acceptor, etc.).  The price is right, just hope I don't get killed in shipping..

It is a fun machine as well  applause
