I am looking for a few of these little things.  These two came in when I ordered a set of buttons so I assume that's what they are for.  Does anyone have an excess of them?  Are they expensive?

I believe they are for IGT to cover the button holes that aren't used but I want them for the keyholes in the doors.  They don't even have to have the nuts and bolts attached, cause I can use double stick tape but I just want something to cover the keyholes.

Thanks

Ron-

A friend of mine came across some plastic plugs at a local surplus store.  They look like the type of plugs that would go into an office chair or a cheap desk to cover the screws.  They're perfect for the keyholes, though.  Here are a couple of pictures of the things, plus a visual of one of them installed in one of my machines:

knagl,

You beat me to suggesting those.  I was going to suggest something like that, but you came in with pictures and confirmation that they work! Good Job!!! applause applause applause We used to use something similar on our industrial computers as temporary dust caps on much larger holes. I know that Home Dump and Lowes(t)(<----- poking fun at one of their commercials!) carry them, just not sure of the sizes. Also there are some similar plugs in the electrical department also. I suggest bringing a picture to take with you as that really helps it click in their minds when you ask about where something more obscure is. Also may want to check the diameter of the hole before you go to get them. If the hole is a "D" hole, we used to trim the straight side of the round insert of the plug. (For a Double "D" hole (Round with two parallel straight edges) we used to get very excited we just trimmed both sides. (I just had to us "DD" HA HA!)  rotflmao

I thought of this as well but even bending the prongs I couldn't get it to work so now I have a bent up hole plug in my garage.  It collects dust.  bust gut laughing bust gut laughing

I don't take good pictures but is this what you are looking for? They are chrome plated and look better than what they do in the picture.

Those look like they are made to go in the keyhole.  Is that correct??  Those look great.

Yes, they fit the hole on the side of the door where a lock would go.

Ron the chrome squares you are looking for appeared to come out of a IGT S-2000. I just set up two of these machines for multi-denom and removed the chrome squares. The squares measure  1 1/4  x 1 1/4 inch. If this works let me know, its a free be...Mike.
