WARNING: CRAZY SLOT PERSON

« on: August 19, 2009, 02:29:13 PM »

Hi I'm trying to read an SP 1271 for my backups.
I did it on 2 different chips but not working.
My batronix device isn't telling me what kind of chips it are but I know it are
27C512 eproms. Does anyone have a clue which manufacturer it's from  so I can
enter that in the software?

Thanks,

Jeroen

Chip direction is good. I still get errors, also with National.
I think both SP chips might be bad. (there originals)

Nope. The checksum should be 92E7h. It is extremely unlikely that both chips would be damaged in such a way as to have the same incorrect checksum. If they are both reading 1C1Ch then I suspect the chip reader, its software, or the user settings.

It's a 28pin chip. Are you placing it in your reader with the base (the pins on the opposite side of the notch) at the bottom of the ZIF socket (the empty ZIF holes should be above the chip, above the notch)?

Your the best stat!
I was very sure I put it in correctly, aligned the chip to the other side of the reader and that
did the job, it was auto detected and I can read data.
I always use to read the WMS550 eproms, and thos have 32 pins, so that cannot be wrong,
but this can!

Thanks again
