IGT selling iPhone slot app for $1.99

All,

I was browsing itunes for iPhone apps and came across that IGT has posted Cleopatra 5 reel 20 line slot.  I dont have an iphone yet so I cant try it out .   Though in the details theres a small bullet point from IGT...."This game is for amusement only and does not replicate the odds of winning or the payouts of similar IGT casino games."

It was released on Aug 3.  They have not posted any other slots or VP....yet.  I did notice that it was a 1.5 release and only 4MB.

I got my iPhone the other day... (I guess I will be making less trips to the Casino to pay for the service).  The download is tiny small compared to say the 11MB file for landing airplane game with your finger.  Theres a reason behind this.

The game does come from the UK mobile division of IGT.  Graphics are surprisingly great.  Full video, nothing jumpy.  Play is very boring for what you can do on the iPhone.  To tap "Spin" button...your going to have to be a diehard fan to keep playing it.

Reels spin almost too smoothly (if there was such a thing) it almost doesnt simulate what real reels do (no reverse action of the reels).  It does go into the bonus rounds, but payoffs for 100 points a spin seem to be off.  With any larger payoff it seems to be a Cleo wild double symbol to back the payoff.

Tourni mode works well.  You get 3000 points and work down to 0 to what "points" you earn. And you get to post your name if your in the top names of the day (woo).  there should have been an unlocking goal to get a second game within the game...

I think IGT should have come out first with at least a game with a "picking" bonus round like little green men or double diamond 2000. 

It will be very interesting to see what WMS or Ballys comes up with to see if they will enter this market as well.  Of course the no brainer would be Jackpot Party and Blazzing 7s 5 reel. 

Great mindless game play enough to keep you entertained while waiting for that G-2 form to sign.

I'm responding to this post on my iPhone!!! I have the real deal slots and it is great!!!  Multiple games bonus rounds very good play. I have a few apps in th store and made a few grand already!   I can only guess how much igt has raked in!

I was recently approved by Apple to develop applications for the iPhone (the process is way tighter than most other phones).  Anyways, if anyone has an ideas for development feel free to toss out suggestions.  There are a lot of restrictions on what can be developed and emulation and the loading of roms is something that is not allowed.
