For some reason or another I decided to go to the MGM job site and typed in slots...  If your ever wondering what it takes to repair slots heres what they are looking for at Treasure Island.  (Jay) if you want to move this you can.

JOB TITLE:   SLOT MECHANIC
Property:    Treasure Island
Position Code:    310001
Category:    Slot Operations
Employment Status:    Full-Time
Age Requirement:    21 and over
 

JOB DESCRIPTION:
It is the primary responsibility of the Slot Mechanic to repair and maintain slot machine components within slot repair under the direction of the Slot Tech Manager. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures

Specific Job Functions:


Repair and maintain slot machine components including (but not limited to) circuit board assemblies, power supplies, voucher printers, bill validators and video monitors

Use solder station for removal and replacement of circuit board components

Test slot equipment using digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, monitor test equipment, capacitor and inductor analyzer, and machine testers

Troubleshoot and repair equipment using manufacturer manuals, wiring diagrams and the internet

Select and order parts required for equipment repair

Assist with machine installation and removal projects when necessary

Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department


JOB REQUIREMENTS:

At least three years experience in slot gaming technical field required

Must have or be able to obtain Gaming Registration

Associates degree or other education associated with a degree in electronics preferred

Professional appearance and demeanor a must

I always love the job related duties listed in these job descriptions like,
But not limited to, Washing the bosses car, Picking up his lunch, Kissing his butt..... frying pan Piggy Bum Homer Insane




Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department


This one could be anything, like.....
working on-call at any hour they choose ttth no
Taking a pay cut, when the accounts say were broke! stir the pot / get cooking loser

Do slot techs in the US work on a hourly rate, weekly wage, weekend penalty rates if so how much ? Here in Australia pay is usually under a contract
which varies from $40,000 US dollars to 58,000 US dollars per year and that usually includes a car and mobile phone, depending on the company
and years of experience etc.
