My speaker makes a buzzing sound.  When the door is closed you can't really hear it, but I noticed when the door is open, if I pull the white test knob out, the buzzing stops for a few seconds and then it comes back on.  Any tips or tricks in terms of what to look for regarding a buzz through the speaker?

Thanks!

This is a known issue with the 16mhz boards (a 16mhz board has no dipswitches or volume pot).

In a casino environment its not an issue, one suggestion is to get more slots and crank up the volume .....  Duh!

There is a mod where you can use a resistor and a cap across the speaker leads - basically creating what is known as a cross over or low bypass filter.
Unfortuntely I don't the values, perhaps one of our more astute electrical engineer types can hop in here.

Yeah, the volume that controls the game sounds is actually on the main motherboard.  Dial that you can turn left or right with a mini screwdriver.  Would be nice if the buzz could be eliminated.

I don't think your Jackpot Jungle machine is running a 16mhz board...

If it's not bothering you with the door closed, though, I wouldn't start fixing stuff that isn't broken.

It is normal for the 10MHz board to have the digital buzz. It's just a lot quieter than the 16MHz board. As knagl said, I would leave it as is.
