Hey guys its my first time posting on here wave, I was just looking for so general info on repairing the power supplies for our Kortek KTL 150S-01 LCD's for our bartops. We plan to replace all the caps on them as soon as we get some more in but i just thought maybe a little more info is always helpful.

Thanks in advance!

We don't have the 150s (we still have CRT bartops), but we have quite a few KTL170S-31 (used in Game Kings)...many times, different size monitors manufactured by the same company have VERY similar parts, circuits, & designs...if the 150s have an open power supply chances are it's the same one used on the 170s...the P/S is marked;
"KT-PS60PFR
PWB-A006AR
REV : 00"

I repaired two 170s this morning by replacing the small capacitors that are mounted between the fins of a couple heatsinks, the board IDs are C825 (a 1uf, 50V), C828 (a 47uf, 50V), & C836 (another 1uf, 50V)...out of seven 170 power supplies replacing these three capacitors has repaired five of them...

Hope this helps...

God bless,
Mike><>

from my experience you have to replace 2 47@50 caps (one in the middle of the board one on the outside in the heatsink then 1 470@16 or 25v (on the end near the bigger caps) and 2 1@50v caps (on the outer edges in the heatsinks). Also sometimes the large golden lookin cap goes bad also. just use your cap checker and it should be easy to find the bad ones. these caps fix 95% of them for me.

oops didnt realize this was so old...
