I know this has been posted before, but again we have S+ machines and many of them with DBVs runnig on them but since they are old ; they are retired. By this I mean they are really pain in the ass for us. All I need to know from a S+ working with DBV; what exactly I will need to convert to WBA. Let me list and you huys might help me what I am missing out or what I dont need;

Power supply to power up to WBA *I cannot use the power supply for DBV on WBA , right?*
Also some type of connector or converter from to WBA to the machine *This is different then the ones on DBV*
Ok now. Do I need to change any eeprom or eprom on the main board; or do I need to enable the bill acceptor just like I do with the DBVs?

 Please I would apreciate your help; I have gotten nice replies before and I hope I can get through with this problem of mines.

Thanks a lot for your interest and time.

The Housing itself is different, the actual metal box and door that holds the frame of the BV, the beak can be boogie rigged, by cutting the edges off a WBA Beak, but there is JCM made "Jump Beak" that fits the WBA Head and the DBV Door entry (there is 3/8" difference in width), probably won't find many,  not saying you can't modify the existing box by cutting out the bottom rails for the DBV, I never tried, I just remembered I sold hundreds of those frames and beaks for the OK Indian Casinos years ago, if you look at the pic of the different beaks, the Black one is the Jump Beak, and part number is correct, I bought bunches, the way you can tell is the real WBA for Upright IGT Reels slot has the end chopped off, the Jump beak has an equal border around it

Thanks a lot for your reply and yes this is also an additional info for me but I need the WBA working on the S+ first so then I can worry about the mouthpiece. But like I said this will also help me and for this I thank you.

There is no problem putting a WBA in a S+, there is software made up to the new $10, uses ID 022/23 and you can use the WBA-12/13 for 4 way acceptance or the WBA-10/11 for 1 way, but isn't that great on street grade bills, the power supply will plug right into the machine harness, and the Frame harness is standard for any newer IGT slot

Once again thank you. However let me get this clear so I cant try by doing the right steps. The software is for the bill accepter but do I need any additional software for the main board? Or do I need to ram clear the machine  and enable BV? This is what I ned to know. And yeah I have the softwae for the bv and thx for letting me know its that particular one I need to use. Thanks.

If you have a working DBV in the game now, you don't have to mess with the machine, just the BV, but if not you will need to at least check and see what your machine has in it for a GAME (SP) chip and if the game has the BV turned on and denom set

Ok all of our machines the dbv is working already but they are too old and ready to be replaced with wba so as you say all I need to do is make sure to have the correct software in the BV and just to connect the BV to the machine and *boom!* there should it be right? Also if it is possible can you show me a pic from the connection from wba to the S+ please. I am kinda not sure if I have what you are talking bout. Thanks a lot I am getting there.

The connection at the machine will be from the power supply at the same place the DBV power supply plugs in, the harness at the other end of the WBA power supply will plug into the Harness at the JCM Frame, don't forget the existing Housing (metal frame with door) isn't the same

Depending on what Game chip you are using determines the ID, look at your old BV, if a DBV-200 look at Dipswitch 10, if a DBV 145 look at the eprom and see what ID also see what version software you are using now, the number 1 Dipswitch on the WBA should determine ID setting, post the Game Chip number and new WBA software Version number and we can determine the ID

On the DBV 145 the eprom version was 3.30 and the wba version is either 1.51-04 or 1.510-2 but I am not sure I need to check that on the computer. the main board eprom writes SP541  0145 type. I am confused, am I on the right track?

Sorry guys it was just the power supply wasnt good. It is accepting bills but only old ones. The new generation of US bills not accepted by the bv. Does anyone have the updated software for ID022/23 for WBA11, if yes here is my mail ozgurekin@hotmail.com. I would really appreciate it.
