I know this isn't an IGT PE+, but for 150 bones and in perfect working order and condition, I couldn't go wrong.  Man was it filthy when I got it home.  But after hooking up the compressor and blasting it out, the cleaning solutions really made this shine!  It's a nickel machine and a lot of fun to play.

Any words of wisdom from the small CEI community?  Wish I could find a manual for this thing.  Wink

Look in submit a new file section CEI 23.9.pdf for a manual.  Have schematics, will post them if anyone is interested.

Thanks for the heads up dormi.

When I cash out or when credits are being counted, it sounds like there's a clicking sound like a relay or something.  Any idea what this could be?

So the clicking noise is bugging me.  Only when winning credits or each time a credit is bet.  i wonder if a bell or something is missing?  The speaker is working fine however.  Perhaps this is how this machine was designed back then.

Most likely the clicking sound is a mechanical meter / counter. Not sure on this machine though. There are some people here that have discussed disabling these meters on other machines.  stir the pot / get cooking Scratch Head

That would be my guess as well. just trace the wiring back from the meters to the controller board and unplug them (Machine power off)
Start it up and see if you get any errors. Some machines do check for the meter board. If its the case here i dont think it will be to elobarte considering machines age. Mostly there a 2 points that are connected electrically on the meter board. Just meter them out and jump the 2 points back on the connecter where the meter harness plugs in to.

I'm really wondering if the fan cable can be disconnected?  I'm sure it's on because of the heat that is generated by the monitor.  It's not overly noisy, but as I'm still in the process of cleaning this machine, 20 plus years of nicotine blowing around makes my wife unhappy.  Sad

Any ideas what the Audio board connector is for?  I'm getting sound out of the unit?  Any idea if there are volume settings anywhere?  The manual was very helpful, but I didn't see anything around sound.  Thanks!

I really like the way they white-lettered stenciled what each header is for on the Omega motherboard...neat! yes

Use lots of paper towels and windex to clean out your machine will get it smelling better.... vomit
add a nice car/room air freshener packet inside too! Grin
They comes in various scents... rotflmao

The "Audio board connector" is for sound...LOL...nothing else...  Crazy  Wasn't Me
It should be connected some how to your speakers...could be for an auxiliary speaker too
uh, check the MPU and see if there's any round dial to adjust your  volume...
if not, then it's in the options settings perhaps.... Scratch Head 3

Right on!!!  The dial on the left turns the monitor off.  There are 4 dials on the right side which allow the background color on the screen to be Red, Green, Blue, Black or a mix thereof.  The dial on the far right back corner is for volume.

This is a REALLY cool machine!  I pulled the board out the other night too...can't believe I missed these!   arrow

Yoeddy1,

No need to post in multiple areas, most people read all posts on the forum, and it is better to have your question in only one place.

The fan is in there for a good reason. While it might not seem hot in there, without any cooling it will become quite warm in there. heat is a killer of electronic parts, dries out plastic and nylon parts.
Disconnecting the fan in my opinion is a *BAD IDEA*.
Instead....do this. Pull that fan out and measure it. Look online for a NEW one.New fans are a lot quieter than the older ones.Chances are it's bearing noise because it has run dry. Most fans can be disassembled and cleaned out.
You might find that after cleaning it out and lubricating it with OIL..NOT WD-40 (something like 3 in 1oil) AKA sewing machine oil the bearings will quiet down.If the fan is in the top of the machine it MUST exhaust or blow outward. This will pull cool air in from the bottom and up thru the machine.
Be careful on voltages, i have seen 5 volt,12 volt 24 volt and 120Volt fans in machines. Some are run from the DC supply, others from the AC mains.
