have gamemaker 13 inch, that when you turn it on it says saferam  fail  so i checked the voltage of the battery and it was dead, change battery with
a 3 volt lithium battery and cleared saferam gameplays fine until you shut it off when you turn it back on i get the same error, customer does not what to leave the game on all the time. any help on this one please, did i use the correct battery ??? this was what was on the board, i dont think it was the correct bat to start with, i have heard there was a fix for this, let me know or if you can post some pics of the right battery,

Here are some pictures. The battery is a standard lithium 3.6v full AA (although mine has been replaced once by a former owner).

Is it possible that the jumper for W17 is missing or set to "off"?  Scratch Head (circled in the picture)

Yup, just like the Bally ProSlot boards. The "Off" pin is dead (isolated). It's only there as a place to hang the jumper so that it doesn't get lost. I guess that Bally knew that their board designs would eat up batteries so they added these disconnect jumpers to save the batteries during shipment and storage. They'd have done better to design their boards to use less current to retain the memory.

thanks dave, i need to get a 3.6 volt for sure also the jumper is there so thats ok, , k + to you guys ,
i will get a battery tomorrow
