Hi,
I have read lots of posts but my bill acceptor on my IGT S+ Gold Mountain slot still does not accept dollars.
Here is what I have unchecked
1)Checked solder on circut board as suggested on other post
2)Checked to be sure transport tabs are in proper place when inserted.
3) Box inserted all the way
4)I tried the self test and went to 9 on the coins played and on the display winner payed displayed 0   0 And the 9 was alternating 0 and 9.
The DVB will not even try to do anything with any bills but will reject folded papper. The yellow light is not on above the acceptor.
The cash box door switch has been disabled as the wire's are on the two end plugs making it passing curant at all times.
I really would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
 Scott

the 9-0 should be alternating between 9-1...
9-0 might mean the DBV is "disabled"...I could be wrong.
But put in your frame of mind that seeing the zero is like..."off"...and seeing a "1" is ..."on".

You may have to drop in the proper SET chip to re-enable the DBV.
What SP chip is installed?

Hi,
When I go to the self test with 4 showing in the coins played it shows 3442 in the winner paid with 0731 in the credits. Looking further at other post I believe the SS3442 chip is installed. How can I turn the bill validator on?
How do I check the cash box light that goes through the box? I don't see any infra red or?
Thanks,
What set chip do I need and the proper way to do this?

You need SET chip 005, 015 or 017 to "enable" the DBV when you're using a SP731 chip.
SET 015 is the most popular one...
place an add with you wanting a SET015 chip in the "classified" section of NLG and
I'm sure someone will respond with some help for ya!

Once you get your SET chip, here are directions that tell you what to do with it to enable the validator:
