Anyone know what sound you should hear when you hit a symbol on the 4th reel of a Triple Bonus Frenzy machine.  When I hit something it doesn't sound right.
 Scratch Head

It's weird like half a tone or something.

It goes "wup wup      wup wup"  , then makes kind of a slide whistle noise, and some honks.  I will record one when I next have one.  What sound chip do you have?  Pro Sound or Pro Sound II (top box speakers)

There is definitely something not set up properly. Is there a setting I'm missing. Or a chip on the sound card?

There is a tiny tsop chip in a clamshell zif socket on the sound card. Yours should be something like psbfr2... for triple bonus frenzy.  I will look up the exact part number a little later.  Be extremely careful if you remove the chip, I broke a leg off one time because I twitched a little and caught it on my finger.  Didn't you get some with your devils kit?

Well I was luck enough to get the sound card that came with the kit - so :
1.  I carefully examined the card and now see that those two flat black chips do in fact open to reveal the tiny sound chips.
2.  I decided to just swap out the cards  - rather than risk breaking the chips

Here is what the sound is now awesome.   I did get the respin symbol and it now makes all sorts of cool sound effects.

But listen to this: -  is this the sound you get?

Couldn't you have edited out the 57 seconds of losing spins?   Tongue Out

That's the click sound when you get something on the bonus reel is the only one I've ever heard, except the respin racket, I like getting respin with any 3 symbols in the casino and it carries on for 30 or 45 seconds for a 15 coin win.

Don't feel bad JDK, even some of the IGT bonus spin machine simms have legacy sounds forthe regular reels and the theme sounds for the bonus reels.

I'm sorry - I meant no sound for the the bonus hits.  For  example you get 3x on the 4th reel  and hear dink.

The damn thing taunts you,  rotflmao , O.k., I couldn't resist.  Yeah, that's the sound it makes, but patrons at the casino never brought it up as an issue when they get a multiplier, so Bally left it that way.

Maybe, according the public opinion conducted by Bally,
a "3x" was only worth a "dink" sound?     Crazy

According to Wayne that's the way the sound should be.

I think it's weird -  It just seems unfinished.

I wonder if there's any additional sounds that can be added to the sound chip? propeller

are you saying you don't have the respin sounds?  What is the sound chip number in your board (in the rear most clam shell).  If your Winning For Dummies reel spin sound stops every once in a while, then you have the first sound chip (same as Bonus Frenzy).  I'll check for the chip number tomorrow.  The Triple bonus Frenzy doesn't have that flaw.

Thanks,
Wayne

The pro sound 1 boards had an 8 meg chip that "could" be manipulated, however the Pro Sound II chip is 64 megs, and I doubt it can be.
