I was looking around Firefox's menu and found this tab under page info from the tools menu. What's weird is that it seems to have picked up all of my IE visits to the sight, since I haven't been using Firefox long enough for this figure to be entirely from my FF visits.

Holy cow!!  Shocked Shocked  It really adds up.  frying pan   garfield

Still, I'll bet Joey's count kicks this in the butt!!
Some of our other senior members might have similar counts as well.. stir the pot / get cooking

Don't you really want to ask me what I was doing on 4/10 at 15:56 NLG time? Scratch Head 2 Scratch Head 3
I was at a friends after celebrating the second night of Passover (Thurs), probably looking at the Fry's circular where I found that I could bump my laptop up to 2GB of RAM (the maximum possible, unfortunately bawling) for only $30. Later that evening I was at Fry's buying memory. Too bad they don't sell long-term human memory engrams; I need some.

My Bonus Sizzling Sevens kit arrived tonight. Ecstatic / Top Award Ecstatic / Top Award

The glass and strips are in almost perfect shape, except that there's a small chip in the lower left corner of the award glass bawling bawling  Frank packed the glass for bear (wrapped in cardboard and then in bubble wrap and then in peanuts in a strong box) and he honestly isn't sure if it was chipped before it went out but is fairly certain that is wasn't. The good news is that it is only slightly visible when installed. What I do know is that the damned FedUp guys must of read the "GLASS -- HANDLE WITH CARE" sticker on the box and decided that it needed some extra kicking and slamming around. They actually mistreated the box so badly that they put a hole in the side of it. hissy fit hissy fit hissy fit

I'm happy as a clam to have the complete kit, and the glass is in such great shape and the kit so hard to find that I don't care. Here is a picture of a 350 coin bonus hit.

This kit is really COOL. Cool Thumbs-Up Joe Cool CoolChicken

Same here have a 1000 mp and a 756 pro sitting collecting dust not to mention the amp
with a crank up tower in the yard..the wife really loves that.
I must say that the net has taken alot away from the ham hobby
plus the fact how easy it is to get a ticket now just not the same and the solar cycle being dead
hey I'm rambling on anyway nice to see some fellow hams.

I have to agree that the current licensing model is too easy; I'd like to see that change, but I have to wonder if the big three rig manufacturers haven't put pressure on the FCC in that regard so that they could sell more rigs over the years. muted  It's the wording in Sec. 97.523 that requires the ARRL to publish all of the questions.

I actually passed my 20wpm code test on the day that I got my General, although I didn't pass the advanced written test because I had only prepared for the general at the time. I didn't have to take the code test when I finally got my extra, but I at least feel that I did accomplish that task, even if it was years before. I also refused to use study books that essentially gave you the answers because I wanted to learn the material, not just memorize some test. At least they have over 800 answers in the extra pool, but it's still cheating in my book.

My first rig was a Henry Tempo One (Yaesu FT-200 from the early 1970s) that I used for years on HF on both CW and SSB, but like you, I hadn't been active in recent years because of the solar cycle and because other hobbies have taken precedence. It's interesting that you have a 756pro. I have had my eye on the 756proIII, especially since the 7700 and 7600 are out and lots of proIII's will be hitting the used market as the keep up with the Jones' types trade up.

I understand your position regarding the net and ham radio, but I still find the hobby worthwhile. I enjoy QRP. I worked a station several hundred miles away using CW on 40 meters and got a 599 signal using a crystal transmitter powered by a 9v battery! (Of course, it was hooked up to a tuned dipole over 50ft in the air.) I had a lot of fun with that little xmitter. There are still things that I haven't done. I would like to work a station via moon bounce someday, and I'm interested in trying some QRP DX spread spectrum QSOs. There is also the time honored tradition of being prepared to help in emergencies. Don't forget that when Katrina hit it was hams who were the first to communicate in and out of the affected areas, not the friggin' government.
