Changed all the button lights (except the change lamp) to GREEN!!!
I think it looks good.......you?
It also got a Ledtech white LED stick to replace the Flourescent tube.....
mounts in the old socket and plugs into the 24 volt supply..

BTW....LED's purchased from JKL Lamps in Pacoima, Ca.
The #73 LEDS were a whopping 75 cents
The #194 LEDs were $1.95
Shipping was 2 days and $8..none of this $1.75 crap for the #73 or $5 for the #194 from Happ...and the surprise shipping.
Happ is right here in Las Vegas and WILL NOT allow "willcall"..they can kiss my....well..you know.

Nice touch!
If any game should have green LED's it's that one.

That's the way machines should look...
stuff should match instead of being SO generic-looking!

Kirk, those machines are gorgeous!  applause applause The colored buttons make a big difference. Is there a way to color coordinate the LED frame around the touch screens? If you could give Ms. LGM a green border and Mata Hari a Blue one, it would kick things up another notch. propeller

Thanks!
Trying to make them pretty for the gameroom.
here are two more photos. one of the 3 I-Games in the picture just got a full load of the 75 cent white #73 LED's from JKL Lamps. Can you guess which one???

If you guessed "Alien" your correct! Mystical Mermaid came with a few already installed, but will be replaced as a set to make sure the buttons all look the same color and brightness.
The Kenny Rogers machine will get a load of them next, then the mermaid.
I have a WMS 550 on the way (Reel 'Em In) and will need to buy more LED's for it. I am tempted to try some Amber LED's in it just to see what it looks like. From JKL it's less than $10 for a set of LED's for the buttons.

Thanks for your inputs guys! (the color ring around the reels on the Visions....thats an idea...have to see how to impliment that)

Stat, the LED light ring around the vision screen can not be controlled.  The default is red, and depending up the hit the color and pattern varies in the way it lights up.  Oh, and it's not a touch screen in the vision.

I'll save my question of how to tell the difference between a 5-reel Megatouch and a 5-reel with a center-mounted vision screen and an LED border for when I get back from NLG...

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but be careful with your bulb types on the 550 as I think they do not take the 12v bulbs like the I-games.  You will need the 6v for that one.

I do believe you are correct.WMS seems to like 6 volts for lighting. The correct lamp for these games would be a #86 LED replacement.I need some of those for the Dotmation machines i still have here

For those of you that want to upgrade your buttons to LED's here is the information on the ones I purchased from JKL Lamps....
This is what is most important to me.....THEY WORK!
This is probably not the only good/great/awesome deal on LED's but they did ship them in a day and a half, for $8.00 and no partial order and hidden shipping charges (LEARN FROM THIS HAPP CONTROLS).
These replace the 12 VOLT #73 lamps in the buttons and the large wedge lamps in the round buttons. Each one was 75 CENTS!! and you can see they were small quanities.
I will place an order for #86 and #555 lamps next for the WMS machines (6 VOLTS). When you find an HONEST/GOOD vendor you want to share that info. I don't work for JKL, nor do I get a "Kickback"...just feel all warm and fuzzy if I can steer a fellow slotjunkie in the right direction (as they do for me)....

I now return you to your regular handle-pulling activities....

Kirk   (see you all at G2E)
