Has anyone had this problem? the code "Default error, Check controller #1" when you try to change the odometer speed or the "Message do/Jack do" . I can load the ChamII's present odometer speed setting of zeros across the board with no error but the second I try to send the info to the ChamII I get this code. I have no trouble in sending information to the jackpot, time date areas.
I have tried this on two ChamII and its the same thing. hissy fit hissy fit Duh! frying pan Help
I set the mfile to 0 and completed a rebirth. When I send the "demo do" file to the ChamII the psp states the error in the lower screen on the first line then on the second line sates loading demo do. On the machine the the screen states loading and then starts the demo do process. This posses a new question how does one turn the demo do off?
Can some one help.
Sorry about the bad grammar last night I guess I was mOre tiered than I thought.
Thanks Blake

In the Message page you have to press F1 many times to get it to receive the files.
That is what I found to be the case.
Eventually you will get it to take the files it sends while on the message page of PSP

To turn off demo.do you press F1 until the default files are loaded into the Cham II+. it may take pressing F1 (Send) 8-10 times.

I have tried this about 10 times. Some of the info is sent to the chamII but in page 2 I can not turn on f3 this allow the jackdo fand message files to play after two minuets of idle time.
Also when I insert a coin the progressive does not count up. Can some one that has any experiance with this call me on my cell 818 437 5801 please?

Thanks

Blake,

The ChamII+ does not support Idle Time out messages the way a CON1 or CON2 does.

Per the incrementation of the progressive:
The problem could be a couple of items.....
1. The casinos used to set these at 0.0125.... or about $8.00 = 1c increment.
May I recommend that you use 4% if you are using a quarter denomination.... thats 1c per coin....

2. You need to activate the SLOT to be progressive enabled.
The specifics of what you need to change depends on which GAME chip you have in your slot.
The older game chips required you to flip the dip switch on the MPU board. I think this is switch 5.
On the newer game chips you have to enable LINKed progressive.
To find out what Gamechip you have see RICKS FAQs (from the main page) and post back.
This will allow someone to look at the PSR (Program Summary Report) that corresponds to your game chip and tell you what settings need to be changed.

Thanks Jay, Its good to know that the stand alone does not support Idle time out messages. About the setup this is a S2000 machine and I do not see any switches on the cpu. When I key 17 it has a section to enable the progressive which I think I did right.

However I would love someone to give the correct steps I should follow.

my version chip is vs011nx5
my stepper chip is sg000363
my base chip is     bs100055

Thanks

1 Enter Key Chip menu
2 Press either Change or Cash/Credit button until you see 7.3 Progressive
3 Press Spin Reel button
4 Display will change to 7.3.1 Controller Select
5 Press Spin reel switch
6 Display will change to 7.3.1.1 Game 1
7 Press Spin Reel Switch
8 Display will change to 7.3.1.1.1 (denom here)
9 Press spin reel switch
This is where it gets tricky
press change button until you see link:
press cash/credit until it reads level 1
press max bet until you exit, watching what it says as you do.

Note once you eet up link on the S2000 it will tilt if the communications between the Cham II+ and S2000 are not set up correctly.

Minor update:

Press the spin reel switch to change link from disabled to level 1.
then start backing out of menus by Max bet.

I forgot that when I was walking through the menu's on the S2000. since I didn't enable key chip first.
My S2000 is running a topper with Spectrum II in it. But to double check things I hooked up cham II+ and enabled key chip to double check things

Also I since one of the Cham II+ 2.07 ROM died I had to revert to 2.00 and it also works with a 502 A MPU and SG 363

Config under PSP
Jackpot Programming
Fn Key -- Value
F4 -- M-08
F5 -- 3sec
F8 -- MS08

Here is the pictures of my long overdue progressive slot. I have a few more in the garage but am waiting to bring them up until I find a few more parts.

Thanks to everyone that helped!
