This should be in the Bally section and will be moved there.

To change a Bally .25 machine to .05 machine, assuming it takes coins, you would need a nickel shelf wheel, the quarter pinwheel should be o.k., however if you're buying the shelf wheel they likely have a pinwheel to go with it, a nickel coin optic block and a nickel to put into the comparitor as well as the decals to change on the machine. the quarter coin head should be fine, however you can buy a coinback if you wish it to be correct.  As far as the programming, it is a dipswitch change that will require a saferam clear.  If the machine is coinless, then all you need are the decals and to change the dip switch...

Thanks,
Wayne

I did a video to show a partial saferam clear, for a full clear you will need to hold the pseudo coin and test button in while booting the machine.  for nickels the DS2 dips 1-4  would be on, off, off, off

Hello Wayne,

I just got the clear chips. I have a few questions, hope you can help me out.

Do I need to do a full clear? At the same time do I switch on, off, off, off?
Please let me know step by step.

Thank You -Jesus

change the dips to on, off, off, off, then follow the video but hold the test and pseudo coin buttons while you turn it on.

Hello Wayne,

Thanks,

I follow your instruction, but after reinstalling the original chips I get message (83F0).
Do you have any idea what that means.

83F-0 =  Invalid SafeRAM EPROM ---Wrong EPROM's used for SafeRAM Clear., or in other words, your saferam chips are not new enough for your mains.  What mains do you have.

U18 and U20 are personality chips, U28 and U43 are the mains.  They should be labeled, however you should try to get the newest saferam clear chips and they will work for older mains also. I know Jim at Blueridge will have them.

Thanks,
Wayne
