I was here on this site a while back, and I just thought I would ask a question if I might.

I have a IGT slot, but am thinking about acquiring an IGT video poker machine.  I know that there are the single game variety and the multiple game variety.  Do any exist on the market that are the newer types with the LCD type screens rather than the old CRT (burn in) screens?

Does anyone have any suggestions as to what one should look for?  Would any have a touch screen?  What type of $$ would I expect to pay for something like that?

I posted a message in the general section but found this thread and I believe that this is the proper place for this question.

I am interested in finding a good video poker machine, preferably a multi game machine.  I do have a IGT slot which I had modified only to accept tokens.

Are there these IGT machines on the market that have the newer LCD type screens rather than the old CRT type screens which get burn in etc?

Also are there any which have the touch screen or just the buttons.  I would appreciate you folks bringing me up to speed on what I should look for and if someone has a general idea of what a "reasonable" price for a machine in today's market would be, I would be grateful.

I had an issue with my slot machine and you folks were wonderful in helping me through that problem.

If you check with the vendors at the top of the page, I know some have them.  There are also touch screen lcd upgrades available for Gamemakers and Game Kings.  My Gamemakers and Game Kings don't have LCD screens, although some have new crt screens without any burn.

Thanks,
Wayne

I moved them together here for you to make it easier.
There are IGT machines on the market that have the LCD screens, and they are costly and less common in the home market as the casinos are holding on to them. My favorite is the IGT GameKing which does have touchscreen function on CRT and LCD models. They do have plenty of multigame sets so there is alot of variety. A little step up is the IGT IGame machines... These are almost the same as the GameKing, with the main exception being that they are usually a single game theme, and they have an addtional row of buttons. Also the Igames have an upgraded MPU board, but most newer GameKings have this board also. The good thing about these is that you can play the GameKing Multigames on the Igame machines. If you have a CRT game, there are factory and aftermarket LCD upgrades available so you know. Try checking with the vendors in the banners at the top and sides of the main forum page. You can also send PM's to Jim at Blueridge slots or Jim at Bettor slots as they are active members here, and they usually have a variety of nice machines available.

I am sure that others will chime in with ideas and suggestions as well. Welcome aboard!

BTW, What slot issue had we helped you with, did you have an account on the old forum that had crashed?

Regards,

I had an error code which turned out to be the battery on the board went bad.  Got a new battery, replaced it, and now it is good as new.

Yes, I was a member on the previous board.  When I tried to go back there, it was gone.  So, here I am.  I appreciate the help everyone.
