The gateway is an extra box......not included on the CON1

I described its connections. April (see the link for Leeman Slot Sales) has one on Ebay for sale. Clicking on her banner it will take you there.
I have bought a number of things from her. She is very reputable.

John42355 had a gateway for sale yesterday (or maybe this morning) on eBay.

Yup, here it is:

It's up to $2.25, only a couple of days left.

Hi Jay and group,

I've got the gateway in my hand (thanks for the tip). My question is, it did not come with a power supply. Can you please tell me the voltage amd M/A needed to run it? Is it the same as the controller?

Thanks,

Leyton

The auction never stated that it would come with a power supply.
They usually don't come with one anyways unless you ask...

Take it to radio snack and get one of those cheap
walwarts power adapters that will fit onto the jack...
I like getting the switchable multi voltage ones (1.5Vdc,3Vdc,4.5Vdc,6Vdc,etc,etc...)
but if they don't have those then get a cheap 9Vdc one.
The polarity I believe must be with the positive 9Vdc running to the inside
of the plug while the outside would be the ground.
Click on the photos to enlarge them if you'd like!>>>

Hey Bunker,

Thanks for the reply. I realize that it did not come with a power supply. I just needed the the voltage and milliamps so I could get one. Are you sure regarding the positive connection on the inside? I think that is a common setup, but wanted to get it right the first time.

Thanks,

Leyton

I use one of the Radioshack universals with mine. Not sure of the voltage but will look late tonight when I get home.

There's a voltage regulator component built into the gateway board...
even if you accidentally installed a 12Vdc adapter, it will still regulate the voltage down to protect itself.
I looked all over on the board for something to tell me the voltage needed but I don't see a thing.
I have to check some documentation on it somewhere later...

ADD>>> I hooked up mine to a 9Vdc adapter with the
inside being positive(+) and after 45 minutes, there's still no smoke escaping!

I confirm my wall wart is set to 9v on the gateway.

Just a couple of quick tips:

The AC power outlet in my PE+ is on the back wall of the unit. The Radio Shack multipower device is sized more like a hedgehog vs hampster (Boil vs Wart ?) anyways there is no way to plug this directly in and then put the hopper back in. I used a 2ft long multi-port extension also from Radio Shack so I could place it under the cash can where there is ample room.

Secondly My progressive value currently reads 54,348.92 however the PE+ display maxes out at 9,999.99 at least on the multi-game set that I am running.

With your progressive set to increment at .01cent per coin and
you've got 54K+ tokens into that puppy now? Holy Moly!
That's been played with! yes
Did it ever reset yet?

It is a series of programming errors....
It was supposed to start out at 5200...... The standard pay out is 4000 on the PE+ and the topaward on the S+ is 1200. So I combined the two. Which is where I started it.
However since the top awards are denoted in coins not $$ and my machines are 25c denominated this probably should be divided by 4 for $1300.....
Of course 13 is not the best number to be displaying on a machine....

So really I have 2498.92 at 1cent Which is still 249892 coins...... about 5000 plays.... which is not that much.

Thanks for confirming the voltage Jay. I happen to have one of the variable voltage adapters at home. Now I'm off to the electronics store for molex connectors. Want to make it a neat installation. I will post again when it is finished (probably next week), or I have more questions.

When you get those molex connectors. Please document for us:
1. Where you got them.
2. What part numbers they are.
3. How much you paid.
4. Pictures
