I'm picking up an I+ in a few weeks and would like to get some opinions from other owners.  In terms of graphics, sounds and playability, what are some of the best/favorite titles to own for the I+?

BTW, I just noticed IGT will be releasing Elvira's Secret for the I+.  Looks to be a standalone ... there may be hope for me yet!

Anything new relased is based on the AVP platform so that will not work in your I+ cabinet if you should be able to get yours hands on it (Elvira).

I have 3 I game +'s and enjoy them almost as much as my WMS CPU-NXT. I don't think you can go wrong with the Classics- Tabasco and Cleopatra. Although Cleo is just a free spin bonus, it seems to have a large following. Tabasco has great sound and graphics, 3 bonuses, Mosquito, Country Store and Chef bonus!!  applause

I would think with I games there are more good games then bad ones we love our cleo , larry losp, phone tag, rich girl  on some days we have got bored on any of these  but they have cut down trips to casinos , i would think in 09 we only went 10 to 12 times , where in 08 we where in nj we went over 150 to 200 times they were too close then , philly park  n harrahs chester still calls us asking if we are ok  Scratch Head, being 4hours away from casino is a good thing now

I'd vote for Cleo too, although I don't own it.

I do have Evel Knievel and absolutely love it. Lots of speech clips and three different bonus rounds.

Anything new relased is based on the AVP platform so that will not work in your I+ cabinet if you should be able to get yours hands on it (Elvira).

It's listed under the Game King section with other I+ games, not in the AVP section...

I had a friend check and they said that it is an AVP game and a Game King Enhanced Game, which means 044 enhanced board in an I Game, but not 3902 SIMM and Eprom version. Sorry!  bawling bawling bawling

Since I'm an I-game noob, can a 3902-based I+ be upgraded with the 044 board?

Yes it can be but the 044 setup is not EPROM or SIMM based rather FLASH board based.   You can use the 3902 games on the 044 platform but need a daughter board like the flash board that takes the simm and erpoms.

The game was relased in March 09 and its under GK003047 and GK003048

However it's not an easy find just like the older one.   It is a standalone with no topper so that is good

Elvira’s Secret is a 5-reel, 30-payline game with one bonus game which is a free Spins Bonus type.

The 044 manual is on Robert S. site which is on the top banner

OK, I'm putting this out there right now - if someone can get me a fully working copy of Elvira's Secret (and maybe glass), I will pay some SERIOUS cash...

100% possible just like Slotmaster says.....and I would like to add that you have to change out the MPU backplane as well on your I-game for the 044 board.
So when you buy your first 044 game title, make sure the back plane is included.  This is a simple 5 minute operation, but it's bothersom enough that you won't likely switch back and forth from 044 to 3902 on the same machine often.  Best solution of course is to own 2 machines.....one dedicated for each platform.

There is a "daughter board" or piggy back board to adapt the 044 to use 3902 programs however I was cautioned by several that they are a little touchy and don't always work.  There is one available on Ebay right now for $150.

Also note that 044 kits run about $900 - $1200 (CPU / Backplane / Flash Board / Glass)

Some titles are hard to find too.
