On my reel touch I keep getting this error whenever I open the and close the door - "Close M"

I think it's related to the cash can area?  I open the door then open and close the money door and it seems to clear it.  Sometimes it can take me two or three times.  If  new the exact "M" I might be able to fix it?

I always thought the cash can error was a "B" error.  "M" is either the main door or the belly door.  When you have the error.....try pusing in on the top left area of the belly glass door frame....push and hold.  The switch at that location could be going bad.  This is also an idicator that your battery might be getting close to needing replacement.

Thanks - this would be in an S2000 manual right?

I would like to start learning some of this stuff.   I don't know many of the IGT codes.

If it's saying "Closure M" that's 100% normal and not an error.  A "Closure" message indicates that a door (or switch for the door) was open, and is now closed.  The "Closure" message will go away after one completed paid game.

When you open the door it should say, "Door Open M" -- once it's closed, "Closure M".

Thanks knargl -

I have the top box apart for a little computer experiment so I can't try it.    I can tell you this.   The reels would not spin up and allow me to play a game.  I would have to reopen the door then open the cash container and close for the reels to spin up.

Munch,
Did you get this issue resolved?
Or are you still opening/closing the cashbox door to get the reels to spin?

I still have open and close the door to get the game to play.

Can you please verify if the message is "Close M" or "Closure M"?  I've never heard of a "Close M" message.

Strange.  As I mentioned above, the "Closure" message indicates that a door that was previously open is now closed (and the machine is idle, waiting to accept a coin or play a credit), and that message will go away after a completed game.

As far as you getting a "Close M" message, I'll have to defer to the S-2000 experts.

I wonder if it's because with some software you get the split VFD display
versus the rolling screen display and that it displays the error message differently?
