This event is eerily similar to the Station night club fire  in Rode Island on February, 2003
Usually with catastrophic fires like this it's not ONE thing that went wrong or was wrong, but multiple errors that resulted in this tragedy.

Yeah it is.  I saw a brief blurb on the news about this the other night and the Station fire was the first thing that came to my mind.  Now that I've seen this video it's clear that it's even more similar than I first thought.

When I was a kid in prep school, we used to hang full-sized sheets of tapestry
on the ceilings to give our dormitory rooms a different ambiance from the sickening
single socket 100 watt light-bulbs...
of course, the kids that came up with that idea were already into acid rock and
getting high with bongs... frying pan
Amazing how we were allowed to hang those up...
in 5 story hundred-year old WOODEN dormitories too!

Perhaps more amazing that you're still alive and kicking after living there to tell us about that.   lightning bolt
