Tell them that you need to visit the Cocopah casino to study their methods of security police Sherlock Smiley and their linked progressive techniques. reels hit 7's
...and that you need to visit Las Vegas to walk some fresh iron and keep up your other skill sets.  Jumping for Joey LV has lots of exposed stuff in high places for you to play on. propeller

Don't try to tell them you're going to study security at the Avi, they are fresh out. frying pan frying pan frying pan

And all that iron in Vegas is abandoned at the moment, nobody working on any of it from what I've heard... propeller

They might be in a recession or on vacation break?  Maybe construction holiday...
My wife wants to see the Hoover Dam...is that far from Joey's?

It's a recession.

You can go to Joey's either of 2 ways from Vegas, via 95 or 93. if you take 93, you will drive on Hoover Dam, so it's easy to park and check it out.
If you take 95, you would have to pass the turnoff for 95 and go to the dam, then backtrack to the 95 cutoff.

Google maps shows about a 10 minute savings if you do the pass/backtrack route rather than just take 93. Personally, I've heard horror stories about 95, the 55 (or was it 50) speed limit and Nevada cops. 93 is a 70 speed limit, and there's always a rabbit wanting to do 85 or so, so you're probably not in as much danger of a performance award from the Arizona State Troopers.

Every member of this forum is required to do at least some of the following things:
Have an intrest in slot machines
Own some slot machines
Make at least one trip to the Command Center.

I plan on doing that at some point next year. Of course it's more fun if you can mix the trip in with business.

Well I believe that CJ and I were the first visitors to the pre-command center that existed in Joeys garage.

I was in Vegas for a AMA (American Management Association) course. I flew in a day early and CJ drove in from Orange County, picked me up and drove out to Bull Head.

I can still remember my wifes reaction to this plan. "OK she says - let me get this straight - you are flying across the country to meet this guy in Vegas - this is a guy you only know through a web forum - where no one uses their real names. Now if that is not creepy enough - you are then going to get into his private vehicle and drive out into the middle of a desert away from the people and lights and public places in general to supposedly meet another guy that neither of you actually know".

I said "umm - when you put it that way it doesn't sound nearly as much fun". She then said "What did you tell the kids about facebook and other web activity. How about you explain this to them".  Did I mention she can really be a party pooper.....  She then made me show her where the life insurance documents were kept.

So far things have worked out just fine.... now if I can just find a way out of Joeys basement  rotflmao Its not so bad he occasionally allows me up for the 4th of July parties.

So,....why in the world starting a website like this?
Wasn't not there that other slot website already in "full force"?
I've been on over there but I found it fairly ...well..."plain"?

Because that "other slot website" is geared towards the professional, and has a tendency to show some attitude to private owners.

I once made the "mistake" of posting some info taken from a PAR to help out another guy that was not getting any answers and almost got ripped a new one.
50% of questons asked get a response back like "Call your IGT representative for support on that". If I had access to IGT I would hardly be asking on a web forum.

The people there certainly know their stuff and many of them thankfully grace us here - I would say that we foster a culture of participation vs exclusion.

I would however say that there is a generational gap between what we require as a knowlege base (ie platforms we use are at least 5years behind whats current) and what they are dealing with in a real time / real life scenerio where real money is at stake. We also need to understand that the industry regulation and the threat of losing a job and/or licence often acts as a deterrant to boadly offering up assistace to our non - industry faction.
