I have Bally Evolution-Hybrid slots with the 3 reels and upper LCD touch screen. They have a combination of the Bally 6000 reel platform and Bally GameMaker (touch screen set-up platform)... All the machines have a Seiko printer installed.  Is there anyone who can help with enabling the printer.   I have tried and can only get it to print a sample/test ticket...and when put into service...machine will print first cash-out ticket and then machine goes to error code.   Are the Bally's not able for "stand alone" ticket printing capabilities like the IGT S2000  ?   Any help appreciated.  Thanks.

Short answer is yes but it can depend on which version of mains you have installed.  Validation must be turned to off or it will not print.  Some mains will not let you print without validation working or connected to the backend system.

Thanks for reply...but..."short answer yes"... I  am able  OR  not able... to set up the Bally Evo/Hybrids with printer enabled and working on a "stand alone"  basis ?   I'm confused...which is pretty easy to do.  Anyway.   The machines all came in  with the Seiko printers...bill acceptors...and hoppers installed and all working (on the casino floor... since I've found printed tickets inside some machines)   The mains installed:   V7M4E01A7204-24.   Also you mention Validation must be turned off or it will not print...do you mean bill validator disabled ?  or  something else ?  (since I would need the BV to work along with the Ticket printer) Thank you.

Sorry I was rushed for time!  The casino had the machines setup to validate the ticket against a backend server.  When setting up the printer or in the printer options you need to turn off printer validation.  Some mains do not support turning off validation as some casinos or states require for this to be the only option.  This is not the bill validator rather a printer option to validate the ticket and record the amount on the back wnd server.  When you go to another machine in the casino the ticket must be validated before it will register the amount.  This is why you can not read a ticket.
