Data Proc Equipment
Model NO: 145933304
Board ASSY NO: 7543350
Made by IGT:2005
This one is Revision A :1453304    2/07

Bought it on fleabay for about $15....lol
Has 4 fiber optic connectors on the back.
Plenty of different type machine connectors on the front.
I plugged the power cord in and +5V red LED lights up.
Came with tons of other harnesses as well including cool brand new fiber optics cable.
Anybody have any manual or set-up information on this?
Looks like something fun to figure out and play with...
Here's the front connectors and a photo of the back where the power plug attaches.>>>

Did you by chance happen to get two of them ????

I am not sure but would suspect that they are for converting from the proprietary serial machine formats (IGT, Ballly etc) to Fiber then from Fiber back to the proprietary protocol.

Everybody was laughing when it was for sale on ebay and that I should buy it...
Turns out that nobody bid on it and I got it for like $9...total! lol
It came with a brand fiber optic harness that's "paired".
I can ask them if they have more...
What capabilities could it have?

My guess is thats its a fiber mux (transceiver) for the proprietary platforms and you need two of them.
Similar to the Pelco fiber extenders that manage Rs422 or Extended Coaxitron.

Sounds awesome really...
I gotta go get some longer fiber optic cabling and see what this puppy can do...
I have all kinds of machine boards and parts/stuff that deal with fiber optics.
I need to talk to that friend from Ont. when he gets back from the Olympics!

I have a bunch of them, was supposed to be a complete system, I was told it was for the progressive system, but didn't look at them for long before storing them.

Stout,  Jay is pretty much real close on his opinion on this "Box".  It is pretty much useless in my opinion.  You may be able to play with it and "Frankenstein" into something for a diff. purpose.  I have at least 100 of these with the harnessing etc..  The wires etc. in the kit is the best thing.  This has absouletly nothing to do with making a wap machine work etc..  That is all handled elsewhere in diff. systems.  As far as fiber goes if you have a bunch of short ones you can use a simple fiber junction block-nothing more than a piece of plastic with fittings on it.  If you find a suitable use to your liking for these you are welcome to purchase all the ones I have.  Any fiber driven signal has to have that "INPUT" with the what I call good "data" on it to comm.  I have seen some crazy stuff in the past but I think you will wind up enjoying the parts out of these more than anything.  Your kit should have come with some fiber junction blocks/extenders in it.  B.

Powerstroke,
Jay mentioned that I would need two units so they could "talk" to each other...
could I buy one complete unit from you to try and connect it with mine to see what happens?

Logging off for the night.
