Mark I don't think that's true.  each has it's own setting, in config go to sound, first setting is General Vol,   increase or decrease volume with max or spin buttons, save setting with change button, press bet one to next volume setting and repeat each step untill all six are programed.  Scratch Head Scratch Head

Man, this is more confusing than I would have though.    hissy fit  No matter what I set the other sound levels to, only the General volume & Security volume seem to do anything.

Just for the fun of it  propeller I made a backup copy of my sound chips and found they listed several sound names in the ASCII section.  Too bad you cant access them individually like in the IGT S+ machines.

Now if I could only figure out how to set the volume   Scratch Head

Perhaps the core chip uses the names as look up references and if you were to reverse some of the names perhaps you would get other sounds ?

Mark  Set General and security at 5 then set Win Tune on 60, then play the machine. let us know if the Win Tune  did not indeed change.

look at the mpu board and see what series of game  you have like 2.05 or 2.12 or 2.19 ect all you have to do is change the sound chips the reason i asked for game series incase you need birth in future  Do not remove game chips or you will need birth chips            Paul

Hay Buzz, I gave that a try- a side from realizing this machine plays really tight, the sound all seams about the same volume still.  Of course when I was setting the different levels it was VERY loud as I cranked everything way up, but no luck.

Paul, Funny you should mention that.  I was reading you can get into the "Init Game" state by causing a hickup.  I was thinking about pulling the chips and forcing the game to let me into that state so I could manipulate the different initiation settings, especially a higher pay schedule.  Do you think that would work.  You wouldn't need the birthing chip or would you?

I was thinking the same thing Jay.  I'll have to score some blank chips and give a try.

That is why i ask what game chips you have the numbers on them if you take the game chips out and reinstall you will cause a system error then you will need birth chips to reinitalize the game The most popular birth chips are 2.05 so you want to make sure you have the birth chips. To get pickpocket sound you need the correct sound chips.
