Awhile back there was a post of someone selling some attachments to hook up to the WMS 550 meters to make them silent. I bought one set and now need another for my other cabinet.  Anyone still have those? They were about $15 on ebay, but have not seen them since.

Also,I have an inoperative 550 video backplane board that I am just going to toss out unless someone wants it, just pay for the shipping.  It has one bad molex connecor (I think thats the name for the white connectors!?!), as one of the tiny metal prongs broke off.  Not sure if it would be worth it to salvage.

They were called Noise busters.

They are just 5 - 10 OHM 5W Ceramic Resistors in place of the meters.    Just wire them like the meters are wired (in place of)

Or...........

Connect Pin 3 to 8 on the backplane (using current meters connector).

Or............

Cut wire 3 and wire 8 on the harness that connectos to meter and put them together.

or.....

Buy a 12 PIN molex with Pins and loop pin 3 and 8

No more meters and no cost.

Oh you bet it does!!!!  yes yes yes

(Thanks again to Dave for posting that some time ago!!!)  Clap Clap Clap

I am pretty sure that you jumper pins 1&2 which are Black/Orange and Brown/Light Blue. I did this on the S2000's as well!

I have not tried to see if you can do it on a Gamemaker, so if someone has done it on one of those please do let us know how!!!

Just unplug the meters on a Gamemaker.   With 1000 credits per spin on Stinkin' Rich, having the meters would be annoying, I jump those.
Thanks,
Wayne

two wires closest to the hinge, you can jump a thin wire in the connector.

this is an actual meter jumper so all you do is jump the two wires that are at the other connection
This is for an IGT I game

Me, too!  You know me. I love having functional bookkeeping, so I tried to leave the meters connected when I first bought my Gamemaker. I finally had to just pull the plug and pack it in. With multi-denominational play, 90 coins per spin on the slot themes were registering as 9,000 credits per spin on the coin-in meter. I tried leaving the machine on without playing it and the meter was still running after 72 hours. Crazy frying pan Cry Laughing Cry Laughing Cry Laughing

I won't believe that YOU garfield disabled that function dealing with bookkeeping unless I see it!  no no no Will we have to drop the Stat off of your handle and just call you Freak now???  Cry Laughing Cry Laughing Cry Laughing

Just kidding, I know what you are saying about the "Meter on Steroids!" My machine even had Penny Denom setup! A guest changed to dollar denom and started playing BlackJack
TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK TICK ... TICK, etc.!!!!! I got to the point that I would not turn it on and give it attention.

Thanks to Wayne, my machine is no longer shunned due to it's noisy tick! K+ to Wayne for the solution, and K+ to Stat for being able to SAY NO TOO BOOKKEEPING!  Cry Laughing Cry Laughing Cry Laughing Clap Clap Clap

NLG Members always make interesting casino companions.   yes yummy

While the typical slot player will walk around saying, "I did pretty well last night on that penny machine against the wall, but I lost my butt on that video with the fish on it this morning," the NLG members can be seen walking the slot floor saying, "Got it, got it, need it, got it, want it..."  stir the pot / get cooking  frying pan

The typical slot player will press the attendant light and ask for a drink. NLG members call the attendant over to make volume adjustments and to review software and hardware specifications and other product line info, and then end up walking the casino tech through the slot menus because they know more about the machine than the tech does.
