Hello,

I have an IGT S+ that I can't set the payout higher than 400.

When you got into the setup and go to parameter 7 is says 0400, I know you must do this with no credits on the machine but for some reason it won't change.

When I change it to 1000 and hit the reset button it should save, but every time I go back to check it still remains at 400. any ideas?

Thanks to all.

What SP chip is in your machine, and what are the dipswitches set to?  (Always turn the power off before removing or inserting the MPU board to look at the SP chip and the dipswitches.)

Dip switches turned on are 1, 2, 3, and 4
5,6,7, and 8 are off

The game chip is a SP2426 and the reel chip is a SS4100

You have a 3-coin multiplier Double Diamond game, right?  Can you double check your SP chip number?  I'm not familiar with any SP chip greater than 13xx.

SP 2426 is probably not correct.

Press the self test switch until #4 appears in the coin in window .. that will display the SP and SS numbers.

With 1 thru 4 on should allow the limit to be set manually. Since it returns to 0400 sometimes the dip switches appear to be off when on and vise versa.

The SP is correct it's a 2426, the game is called a Double Bubble.
When I go to parameter 4, I get a 4100 & 0800

Never heard of an SP 2426 at least not in an S+ machine.

Did you verify this with the #4 in the coins played window?

The SS 4100 is for a Double Diamond and it's clones and the Double Bubble is a clone.

SP811 Type 0/14
House 2426

And dip switches 1-4 are on
and dip switches 5-8 are off

Do the dip switches slide or do they push down?

Hey guys, 800 might be a valid SP number, although I don't had a PSR for it. Scratch Head

If it is an SP800, the game chips of that era used the DIP switches, and DIPs 1 and 2 must be turned on to enable a programmable hopper limit.

Sparkyslots, as OhioGaming has said, the switches might not be seated correctly or may be malfunctioning. You can verify whether or not this is the problem by going into the setup mode and reading the state of the chips switches.

I believe that pressing the test button four times will bring up the DIP switch status, but it's been a long time since I've used one of the old chips and I'm not sure. The display will show eight digits across the winner paid and credit windows, consisting of 1s and 0s. If the first two digits are 1s, that means that the slot sees DIP switches one and two as being turned on.

Well I played with the dip switches turned them all on and then off and then reset 1-4 to on and 5-8 off. Now the hopper limit works was able to set it to 2000. However some how I disabled my DBV guess I'll have to pull out the set chip to correct it. Thanks All. Seems as though the issue rested with the dip switches.

If you ever wanted to check the status of the dip switches without removing the board, get in the  test menu and press the white test button until you get to the 5  0/1/2/  displayed in the winners paid window  advance thru that sequence until the last set of numbers: for your settings you will see 11110000
the1111 are in the winner paid window , the 0000 is in the credits window. the next advance should take you back to the begining of the test.

the 1= switch on,  the 0 = switch off

Thanks for posting the correction. I wasn't sure if it was at the very end of the setup sub-menu or the next step in the test menu as it had been a long time since I had used it.
