I recently bought an IGT GameKing. Unfortunately the 4 card keno came with an unusual payout scheme.  Wife is unhappy its not like the casino.  My research indicates that we want the P90 version of the program.  The game says I need key chip to change when I try to change via the setup menu.  The place I bought the machine suggested I pull ot the board and ship it to them.  My question is whether this is the best approach?  Or is it possible for someone with no slot tech experience to acquire a key chip and make the change?  Or are there options I should consider. Appreciate advice.

Welcome to NLG djacoby1 wave

You can purchase a key chip and probably the correct game chips (if necessary) from one of our vendors. The are previous threads you can read, and active members who will be here to help you get your game up and running again once you have received your new chips.

It will help to know what board you have installed, as well as the software versions of the chips on the board.

My advice would be to pick up a Key Chip and learn how to use it.  For half the cost of shipping your board back and forth you can own a key chip and make changes whenever you like.  You will be surprised for sure at how easy it is after you get through it the first time.  It will be handy in the future if you want to make changes or for when you pick up other game titles to use with your machine.  If Slottex is unavailable I would be happy to help you over the phone just PM me and let me know.

Tools needed:

Key Chip
Flat head screw driver
Beer  cheers

I'll read through the site and learn how to identify the kind of board I have and determine the versions of software.  Once complete I'll reach out for further help.  Thanks.

It is very easy on a Game King or I-Game machine to find out the software version information.

Turn the Reset/Attendant Key on the right side of the machine to bring up the attendent menu.
In the oncreen menu select ACCOUNTING
On the next menu select PROGRAM VERSION INFORMATION
Then it will take a few seconds and bring up an information screen with all of the important info. Take a picture of this screen and post it here, or write down the info for the GAME PROGRAM SET VERSION (Starts with Gxxxxxxx) and CONFIGURATION PROGRAM VERSION (Starts with Mxxxxxxx for Game King) .

Then someone may have more information on if your program contains what you are looking for.
