On my slant top the monitor is messed up(any suggestions on who repairs them  Scratch Head ) ,So I was just using it for a spare for my uprights now. I did the clear a few times when it was in the slant, but now I cant get it to clear. Put the switches up and install the clear and I get the screen where you set the jurisdiction,bill,coin,etc... It has all of the settings from the slant and I cant change them. Only option I have is turn the key and tells remove chip, set dips. I checked all of the jumpers on the board and they are the same on both boards

Just got back to it....
Replaced both mains(24's) and the graphics. Replaced all the games why I was there and tried again. Still says Jur. is locked and I cant change anything, just turn the key. I even moved the jumper for the battery ,no luck. I than cut the battery and waited, still the same.
This was in a slant top and I was able to do a clear then  Duh! Any suggestions?

Switch all of the dips on DWS1 and run the clear. Then put 1 - 6 back and do the clear again. Jursidication one will still say locked but should be able to key switch down and set all of the other settings.

I have CRS and believe that is what I did.

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried it and still the same. Put all of them up,ran the clear and cant change anything. When I turned the key it said remove clear and reset switches. Put the switches down and left the clear in and it started the setup. Turned it off and put the switches back up and still could not change anything  Duh!

Did you check the battery voltage?  I would switch the dip switch bank with the others.  I have had bad dips in the past (on Ballys). Then try the clear again.

Went out to my machine and here is what I had to do ..

Switched 7 & 8 with clear chip in P-10 with 2104-24s that were already installed on the board.
Settings appeared on the screen and then key switched. Went right to Remove Clear Chip .. and the other two standard messages that appear on the screen.

Left 7 & 8 in clear position and installed 3104-24s on the board.
Settings appeared on the screen and the red settings appeared at the bottom of the settings. This allowed the settings to be changed except the jursidication.

it was a clear chip issue and once the clear chip was corrected, the machine cleared.

Thanks,

I am having the same problem except  my jurisdiction is locked. Should I try a different clear chip or just switch out the mains?

I like using the 24 mains myself.  Jim at Blueridge Slots has the "deep blue clear" chip that seems to work when all else fails.  It's almost magical...
