Everytime I remove the cash box, I put it back in and the gears grind sometimes. But always I have issues with it taking a bill after the cash box is removed. The lights come on but it acts dead and will not even feed the bills.  Help Help

Is this normal or is my procedure incorrect for removing the cash box.

Also this is a Slant top slot machine.

Thanks,
Ed

Sounds like it is not lining up or seating properly. In my experience I have found that you want to give it a good firm "slam" when you are putting it in. Also depending upon what validator you have, the transport mechanism may not be seated properly. Do you know what kind of validator it is, or maybe can you post a picture for the folks here to look at?

Do you have another cash can that you can try in that machine, sometimes I have found that the cash can it self can be the problem.

I am sure with all of our experts here, we can get you back on track!

yes I agree with the Captain... CaptainHappy  Check and make sure your transport is seated firmly into place.
Sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get it seated properly.  Also the switch on your cash can may be causing the trouble.  Please Post Pictures

Tell us or show us which dbv you have and we will all get it figured out. Scratch Head

I used a little WD-40 for a stubborn cashbox and now it seats correctly.
