Slot Losers of America / Tokie Owens

« on: March 03, 2010, 01:51:52 AM »

I just got a new board for my S6000 and did a complete Ram clear. I am using 2003 mains. I get a 65 error which the manual says "Mechanical meters disconnected" for the following market codes:3,4,12,28, and 29. When I set the DS3 switches for like NV or NJ markets, it still persists. Suggestions?

One obvious question comes to mind...
Since it wasn't mentioned - are there any mechanical meters in the machine? Hmm... Scratch Head 3
If there is, then I'd keep trying different markets until; it goes away

                                               OR

                       Check the meter wiring perhaps?

The easiest one to try is to try un-plugging and re-plugging in the meter harness molex...
bad pins inside there maybe?
Or just see if you can get new connections with those pins...
Plugging & unplugging works miracles sometimes!

you can use older mains without the meters.  I believe there is a hack for this but can't remember it now.  sort of like jumping the meter wiring on an iGame if I recall.  Meters shouldn't be hard to find though.

Thanks,

I will dig around tomorrow for the meter hack...
basically it was just a loop jumper wire back into the backplane I believe.

Ok will try MKT code 7. I need the 2003 mains because of the ticket printer.........but lets see how it goes. -R

Update- No dice (ha ha). I am going to try the mains that came with the board to see if it clears up - they have 2006 as date code.

Update #2 - Ok , after a full ram clear, the machine is alive again but using the mains that came with it.

Update #3 -  I am back to my original Bally S6000 board and moved the DIP blocks over to my old board and set the dips according to the jumper block positions and now I am working but it still won't accept coin. But I can live with that.
