About 10 or so years ago, I remember playing a video poker slot machine at the NYNY in Vegas that had 3d imaging for dealer hands that dealt the cards.  The machine had the best graphics for a slot machine that I've ever seen but I couldn't afford to play it for more than 10 minutes.  Never have seen one again.  Anyone know what kind of machine this would be...

Probably built by the folks at Silicon Gaming, the machine would be an Odyssey.

IGT bought Odyssey and the line died.

I owned one..or it owned me....
PRICY and a bitch to keep running. a box full of propritory crap...
When they worked they looked GREAT....
When it was down it really spoiled your day and drained your wallet IF you can find parts.
Touch screens IMPOSSIBLE to find...
They EAT Hard drives due to heat...
The Motherboard was a THOR or TUCSON..both impossible to find....
Was glad to get one, and even more happy to part it out to get my initial investment back!

Contact our member Robert Winter at (strangely enough Crazy) http://www.robertwinter.com/slot/odyssey/ for parts and leads on machines for sale. He's got to be one of the foremost authorities on these machines. Hail

Looks like I won't be getting one...too many issues.  Still would love to play those games again.  Wonder if there is a way to emulate the games on a PC, if you purchased the games hard drive.
