What game chip are you using?
I suspect you got a set 15 and the set 15 may not like the data format in stats/setting EEPROM on the motherboard.

Actually, the number is covered with a sticky that says set chip.  I was hoping it would work with my SP1271 Game Chip to set up my mini photon display.  The SP1272 required the progressive option to be turned on using the set chip on page 2.

Set 15 is a good standard for most people. But when dealing with progressives and more advanced settings the set 90 is prefered. There are others but these 2 cover most applications. having both is a good idea.

I've purchased one...let's just hope this one works...my first born son is being delivered on the 18th of June and I need to get this progressive working before then or my wife will take my machine away...unless I win that 9 line...it's her favorite.

The 62 would not appear if it was a SET 15. You would be able to SET denomination but not get into any of the Mikohn options.
Double check you put it in the right way and also that all the pins go in. I have bent a pin underneath in the past. Looks like its in.

If you are using a 16mhz motherboard (vs the regular 10mhz) and the chip is too slow then you will get this error. A 16mhz board does not have the volume wheel or dipswitches.

If none of the above applies then I would go back to the seller as you have been pooched.
All of the dealers on our main page are 100% repuitable and can fix you up with the right goods.
