I will...at least now I know why I had the persistent error.  propeller
I've moved the chips into a spare MPU and have gotten rid of the "Coin Jam" error!
Now I have a "Aux Reels Disconnected" error... rotflmao
The main 3 reels "lock up" when booted up but the aux. bonus 4th reel is "loose.

I have the two harnesses running from behind the bonus reel back to the motherboard back plane
at location J7 "Spare Senet" - while the pigtail coming out of the motherboard
is plugged into the other harness coming from that bonus reel. ( Daisy Chained )

Is this the way the bonus reel gets hooked up?  Scratch Head

The back lit strip lights work on it ( I did a lamp test ) but the reel baskets are not in holding position
and the surrounding bonus multiplier lights are not lit at all.

No...I have 12Vdc coming out of the colored wire
while the black wire shows continuity to the machine's ground.
Jumping those two wires would be a recipe for a short?  Scratch Head

What is that 2-pin connector for?

mine's not the same colors as Coors machine.
His were like aqua blue colors.
Mine is green and black w/red stripe.
It comes out of the harness that's coming out of the cabinet I/O card.

lol...nah it's raining out.
Hey, How do I get the bonus reel lights to come on?
I am in the [4.9.5 Bonus Device Test] , I hit the spin button but no lights.
I have two 12-pin connectors on a short harness going into the bonus light board.
Shouldn't there be something going into that black 8-pin header next to that chip to run the bonus lights?
The back lit strips work but not the little SMD LEDs on the board surrounding the bonus reel opening...

I probably have to take it apart and see if there's something burned out...
everything thing else works now.
I threw in a DSV000051 and it plays the bonus announcer's voice before the Bonus Spin.
Basically yelling at ya to hit the Spin button...lol
Cool little kit!

Mark, are you sure you have a 5 reel backlight controller?

He went thru that earlier in this post. The backlit works on the 4th reel just no the chaser lights. I wonder if it has something to do with the POP we hear earlier in the posts. You found a bad component but not what caused it.

I think he did post what caused the chip to POP

"By the way, the "pop" sound occurred after I had incorrectly plugged in the 3reel+bonus reel
reel connector harness into a regular run-of-the-mill reel controller board."

yeah...that's when it "popped".
I had a regular 3 reel controller and stuck it in there...bad move on my part...  Tongue Out
Anyways, I'm going to take my bonus light circuit board and a known bad board in to work
and throw them under the microscope and see if they can be salvaged.
Could be just a bad LED SMD or trace.
I will also tone out the harness and see if there's any bad receptor pins as well.
I'm confident I'll find the problem when I scrutinize  Sherlock Smiley the boards for damage.
I'm just not as confident I'll be able to repair them though... rotflmao

So far, after setting it up for .25 cent play and playing about $200 on it...I haven't hit beans... bust gut laughing
Buzz may be right about this game....you can't win on it!!! bawling
The bonus sounds work well however - using the DSV00051 Simm card.
The Bonus reel REALLY needs those SMD LED's lit up though.... yes yummy

I noticed something though (which may be related to the lighting problem )
even though they work in the "Tests" mode - the back lit lamps
on the reel strips do NOT work when hitting wins of any type...hmm.... Scratch Head 2

What controls that on an S2000?  Scratch Head 3

MPU to the motherboard to the cabinet I/O board to the backlight control board to individual reels

ok thanks cowboy...that makes sense.
But what doesn't make sense is: why would they
work in the "Light Tests" but during game play?  Scratch Head
