Sometimes best to NOT clear when you get a 12, 61-1 and a 61....
Should have cleared by opening and closing the door a few times after you pressed the button.....

Once you've gotten to 61-1, you must CLOSE THE DOOR, then turn the jackpot reset key.  Make sure that the door closes and latches completely, and that your bill validator stacker and belly glass doors are also closed.

Are you sure that your door optics are working and that they are aligning correctly when you close the latch?

You can test the optic transmitter by looking at it through a digital camera that has a live LCD screen. If it's working, you will see it blinking quickly when viewed through the camera.

in addition to what STAT has suggested you can use the machines diagonistic tests to test itself.  open door, press white test button until you get a 1 in the coins played window, you should see a 10_1 in the winner paid window, use the keyswitch to advance this until you see the number 13_1 in the winner paid window, close the door and make sure the door latch is all the way down, you should see the 1 change to a 0 and continue to do this as long as you keep the door closed. if this works then your door optics are good.

try this and we will wait for your response

Jim

P.S.  even though the cash door is closed ,its the switch on the door that has to be activated, if no switch is present then it should have been bypassed,
check this as well

when close the door I can change through coins played 1-9
and reel spin button will light up when I press it it does nothing
I have also bypassed all the switches in the coin drawer and door
red light on top flashing as well as white light still flashing
code 61 will only change to 61-1

You have not answered Jim's question about
performing the door optics test with THE DOOR OPEN.
We already know what happens with the door closed.
Did you do it yet?

one thing you can check is the plug at J13 on the mother board(the board that the main MPU plugs into at the bottom of your machine) this is the plug that goes to the reset switch. J13 is located on the right side right next to the metal cover for the MPU .

With all due respect, it does not sound like you have the knowledge to properly bypass the door optics. They cannot simply be unplugged or shorted together. We have procedures documenting how to bypass the optics, but that is not what you should be looking at doing to solve this issue. You need to make sure that the optics are properly plugged in and working and follow the instructions that members are giving you. Once we get past your current issue and have the game up and running, you can look into making modifications.

In fact, I'm pretty sure you can't get past a 61-1 with the optics wires just tied together -- you need to have an actual set of working optics installed and the door closed (optics aligned) to get past it.  I think you can hack around them once the machine has been operating, but if memory serves, someone has posted here before saying that bypassing the optics with wires will not allow you to get past a 61-1.
