Dear all,

I just picked up a Bally 742A (built 1970), advertised as non working due to "power supply failure" and in pretty poor condition. The previous owner said it had not been used in years. Interestingly once plugged in I chanced to reset the time out switch, and surprisingly the machine kicked into life and functions perfectly.

The only issue I have is that the Coin Mechanism Assembly, which resides in the door, is missing. I realise it's a long shot, but does anyone have a clue where this could be sourced or remanufactured for this machine.

Machine photo attached.

many thanks

If it's anything like my Bally 809,   Use a mech from a arcade machine.  My 809 came with a mech that was for pesos.  I happened to have an extra mech from the Mame cabinet I built and it worked perfectly.   Check Ebay.  Just watch out for the mechs that need power to them.  They are usually Comparitor mechs (you can put a coin in a jig and the mech will be for that coin).
