I have a gamemaker with a CC62D coin comparitor. I have reset the setting to "coin comparator only" using the saferam clear chip. However the machine drops the coin into the coin tray and will not accept coin for play. I have tried five CC62D's with the same results. Any ideas or help would be appreciated. Thanks Also the bill acceptor goes throught it's routine and appears to be set. However it won't light the bezel light pr accept bills. Thanks

Try setting it coind acceptor and cod board.  You need to do this if you have optics (coin optic decoder)

Good luck,

Have tried both settings coin comparator only and coin comparator with cod. Niether setting works. The CC62D does not require a coin optics board. Any other ideas would be appreciated. Thanks

Try replacing your sample coin and try manipulating your sensitivity adjustment on the comparitor. Not so much on money but tokens sometimes give me a problem getting registered as credits.

Is your door set for optics or mecanical?  Does the comparitor light up when you pull the door switch(assuming mechanical.)?

Thanks,

I can remember this happening to me, or very similar. It cleared when I did the coin accepter test under diagnostics. That may not be what is going on here though. Mine is with COD board, door optics.

I don't have a Bally machine, but generally if you're getting a message saying that coins coming in are jammed then the problem isn't in the comparator itself, but rather in whatever device you have that registers the coins after the comparator has accepted them.  Look for dirty/broken optics or a stuck cherry switch (depending on the age of the machine).  Also, make sure your door switches and/or optics are working so that the machine is actually sensing that you are closing the door to reset the error.

Pictures of the machine and the coin-in area would probably be helpful for one of the more knowledgable Bally people around here to help you.

The CC-62 on the Bally doesn't use any optics separate I believe, it may be the bottom spacing wrong as it is critical, there is a 1/4" nut and a metal slide that adjusts the width for the coin size, the coin should just barely fit through the opening, this is at the exit or bottom of the coin mech, this is assuming the machine is configured correctly and the Coin Mech and relay board is good

When you close door. does the message on screen change from door open  to door? The word DOOR will stay on screen until first hand is played. If it changes door switch is OK. If switch is OK, open door press reset botton (front of tray)  close door error should be gone.  But why a CC 42  I have 4 V5500 and they all use a CC 16?  Do you have a lower coin optic below the Coin Mech? If you do is the small yellow lite on?  UPright or slant top?   what size coin are you using?   Buzz

The V-5500 used the CC-62-D originally, if you think it is not good, send it to us and we can test or adjust it
