Hello,
I live in Phoenix AZ, I had the One Arm Gambler out 2 weekends in a roe to fix my bill validator on my WMS Jackpot stampeed deluxe dot-matrix display, they sent Otis ( nice guy) but, no luck.

They got it to take the bills but does not give me credits! Any ideas before I call this j** a**'s  to come out again? They will be doing it for free and I want it fixed right this time!

OH and thoes are Fuzzy Dice from the Excalbur in Vegas. Not yatzee, LOL.

I had an issue with mine a while back.  It would take my bill and then just sit there.  I had to unplug the bill acceptor and plug it back in to get my money back.  Never worked with bills, just coins.  Anyway, once I replaced that board with a good working one, my Stampede Deluxe worked just fine and still works now.

I would suggest telling them to try replacing the I/O board with a known good board.  It's the upper board; the board with the 5 red LED's on it.  There might be a juristiction issue if they do that so a ram clear should take care of that.

Please let us know if they get it fixed and what the problem was.

UGH.... Do I have to come over and do it myself??   bust gut laughing  just kidding.  Heck, I even replaced the entire bill validator and assemby and harnesses and anything that went with it.  I really think the I/O board is going to be your issue.

Thanks,

Another question. If I shake the machine ( not like i shake it on propose) but. If I pull the handle and watch the dotmation screen at the same time you can see it jiggle a little. Just like a little wobble back and forth. Should it be rock solid tight? The screen shows the display perfect the hole time, but I read on another thread that the ribbon ( discribed as Christmas wrapping paper) that supplies the dotmation display becomes brittle and black lines start to show on the screen if it breaks. I was worried this wobble could jeopardize the ribbon.

Also over all how dependable is this machine? I have a hand full and this one cool as it is seams to be giving me the most trouble.

Thanks again.
