Hello Barry

The 1493 is just a newer model as opposed to the 1492. If they are both set for IGT it should not be a problem using it. You may have swap some wires around as you did a while back. Bar tops never became popular here in south africa so i dont know what the monito chassis looks like. You will most likely have to transplant the tube and board to a PE chassis.

thank you - the world of monitors is confusing - now with the 13 in monitors out of stock and no longer made - it will be difficult to keep the older pokers up and running.

hehe you bought from me!

are you sure 1493's will work for 1492's? they are completely different. i think the horz and vert syncs would be different? also the ones i got are 220v (i know you can remove the two diodes to make 110v)

i would like to know because alot of people seem to want the 1492's

if i could make 1493's work for 1492 then maybe i could sell them all Smiley

thats why I posted the ?  about the 1493?  I know the 1492s will work in the PE - may have to switch the some wires from the yoke.  Would be nice if the 1493 could be utilized some how - especially since 13 in monitors are no longer manufactured.

Hi

As long as its got A CPA card for IGT you can interchange the two. The 1492 normally found in the non IBA and the 1493 normally in the IBA. The harness from the machine and the harness in the monitor are also different but you can get a conversion harness from Happ or simply swap over the harness as well. You do have to change the tube together with the relevant driver board.

Barry - I Only saw now its for PE not PE+. I dont know if there is a difference between the signal output from the machine between PE and PE+. Is there a CPA number printed somewhere on the 1492 ? Should be able to cross reference that info on ceronix site to see.

Ian - appreciate all the info - I try to stay within the platforms I know - the 1492 for instance - so I just thought it would be beneficial to all to know more about the various models of monitors - again - this may be very important with the demise of the 13 inch monitors.
