24 volts in a Bally 6000?

Hello NLG members!
 I am hooking up a bally topper to my Frenzy machine and was wondering if anyone knows if
there is any 24 volt DC power up in the top box to tap into for the led back lights?

Apparently there is 24VDC coming out of the power supply.
It says so in the specs.
Where it is, I don't know...better get out the old multimeter and start poking around...LOL

What's the worst that can happen?  Just plug it in and see what's what.....just be sure and video tape the event so we can all view it here.

I just use a simple 18v adapter cut off the end then cut the 4 wires at the molex end
and wire them together its plenty bright enough.

What did you use to power the chaser led's ?
I normally buy the 4.5v adapter and plug everything into the bottom of the machine

24v goes to coin comparator.  Hopper is 24vdc. What else is 24v I don't know.
The Bally S6000  toppers do use a wall wart type power supply and also connect to
a little box with a trim pot in it that allows you to adjust the speed of the toppers lights.
I tried to look for mine, but they must be in storage and unfortunately are impossible to get to at this time.

The chaser lights are being powered by a 6 volt DC adaptor that I had out in my garage. I put an extension cord in the switched plug at the bottom of the machine, And ran it up to the top box. I don't have an 18 or 24 volt adaptor for the back lights so I thought if I could tap into something in the machine, That would be helpful, And I would not have to buy another adaptor!
(That would be the cheapskate in me talking  )
If the back lights will work on 18 volts, That sounds good to me. I will probably just get another adaptor, Since I already have the power running up to the top.
A question about the wireing,  The light has 2 grey and 2 yellow wires for the back light. I assume I put the 2 grey together, The 2 yellow together, And then connect each of those to the + and - on the adaptor.

The Back led's will run fine on 18v I have 3 of them running that way for a year now
with the adapters.I never looked for a 24v source inside the machine that's just 1 more thing
to put a  strain on the Bally power supply in my opinion so I just run the adapters instead.

Well the back lights are working!
It just so happens that all the casino tracking (acers gaming) stuff was left in the machine and there is
a 24 volt DC adaptor up in the top box. So I hooked the adapter to the switched plug,
Hooked up the light, (Yellow & Grey wires)  And it works fine.

I now have another one to hook up to my Gamemaker......Should be fun!!

Topper looks great  I love the chasing led's on those Bally Toppers
you never know what you will find up in those top boxes
