Looking for some ideas of what I can do.. I have several error's on my machine (bought it this way) it switches everytime I reset it from, bill vali door open to bill cas remove to hopper jam? I jumped out all switches but the problem persists. (got the wiring diagram from this site thanks) Any ideas on what I can do to repair this? Maybe a board issue? I welcome any help or ideas. Is there a way to bypass this all if I can't repair to atleast be able to play? Thanks all Steve waving flag

Sounds like you're getting the common errors most people get.
Don't fret...we will help you get your machine up and running.
Can you post a few pictures of the errors popping up on the display?
Check all pertinent switches corresponding with
the bill acceptor area and cash can, door switches, etc.
Something is amiss in that area.
Make sure the bill acceptor head is secure and the gears
are meshing with the transport correctly.
Along with all the wiring going to it and any nearby switches...
Check all pins for anything that might look funny (bent, dirty, etc)
Sometimes when a machine is driving me crazy - I step back for a day
then go back and attack it.
You really gotta pick it with a fine comb and don't let
your troubleshooting drive you batty.
You're gonna laugh when you find out later it's just a
simple thing that not connected right or something.

Here are a couple pics of the errors. I have Thursday off from work, I will try to tackle this then but if anybody has some input with this machine I would jump for joy otherwise if I have to I will go from wire to wire till I get it.

Those errors are pointing to the cashbox area.
I know this sounds too simple but do you have actual
cashbox installed and also is the door lock is switched closed?
Is there a metal pawl/tang attached to the cashbox door
keylock mechanism that engages the door switch?
If so or if your wires are just jumped together, try undoing one of the jumped wires,
close the door then reopen it and jump the wires back together and see if the error goes away.
Also, introduce a different error such as physically grabbing
a reel basket as it's turning to get a reel error code.
My line of thinking is - if you can produce a different error purposefully , some may go away.

The cash box switch has nothing connected to it but I do have a cash box & I tested the door switch it works fine. I don't know why the cash box switch isn't connected but I don't even find where it used to be connected.

Where are those red connectors coming out of on that black harness - the back of the bill acceptor?

see those 3 dots next to the "P" in your picture:  slot.003?
That means the cash cassette is removed.

If you want to disable the bill acceptor, you must turn off the machine
and turn the 10th post on SW1 to "OFF".
Your bill acceptor will be disabled and those codes should go away.
The machine can then be played via coins.
Make sure there are no credits on the machine before doing this.

That group of six wires all goes to the cash can switch but I am unsure where they connect to..No available connectors nearby & the wire diagram show 4 wires not 6. I tried jumping at the board but the problem persists.

You're right...it's hard to remove the credits when the machine is tilted.
If you have the manual handy - read on it on how to do a Saferam clear.

But, turn it off and try switching the dips for the bill acceptor to OFF anyways...
the worse that could happen is you will have to perform a Saferam clear.
No big deal...

I don't a thing about Sigma. (hmm, then why am I posting??)

In a casino they open the Bill Validator Door and remove the case to retrieve the bills every night. So logically those two errors should clear after they are satisfied. The casino would not want to reset/clear each machine after each drop.
On my Uni Ultras the validator (JCM) has one error of it's own and then there are switches for the cashcan and validator door (which is actually the belly glass door)
But I can shutoff the validator and all associated errors by dip switch settings. Maybe Sigma has a disable validator dip?
Then the hopper would be the only problem.

One more thing, on the Ultra a loose board connection can cause these same errors, so try reseating your mpu. (with power off)

Be patient, I know someone here should know Sigma's and will chime in.

I would like to try a safe ram clear but need to know which ram clear eproms are needed and where can I buy/rent or even borrow them from? I prefer to buy from a vendor on this site to help support this cycle of awesome people that help others like me.

Ben Faninni of Faninni Slots has helped me with my Sigma before chip-wise.
I'd shoot him an email or phone call.
He's listed as a vendor on top right side of the home page of NLG.

What does the sticker say on the denom. chip? ...Its the small chip behind the 6 large chips. The cable with the red connections looks grey  Scratch Head ,this is usually from the casino, and not for the BV. In the pictures I can see your BV wires...the ones next to the grey wire that goes to a small board mounted under the cash can. Are the lights blinking on this board? Can you take a picture of the left font of the board? Also, you can not change anything by the DIPS with credits on the machine. Depends on what it says on the denomination sticker will depend on how you reset it.
