I think the alarm is to tell ya to put the bill in the right way!  Crazy
I always have my reset key in the machine ready for my left hand to reach up and switch off that blaring alarm.
If you tinker and fool around with settings like I do - you get a really quick right hand!! rotflmao

The MPU is booting up...among other things.
Sort of like the "maiden spin" with S+'s.  yes
Basically, the eproms are initializing the rams, etc. and getting everything ready for game play mode.

The symptoms you have mentioned are unrelated to your bill insert...it was just a coincidence.  What you got was a RAM error and thus the alarm.  It was essentially asking you to reset the machine and clear the error.  The fact that your machine was running fine before and this just popped up suggests to me that you had memory loss.  First thing I check / replace in this case is the battery.  And once replaced if the problem reoccurs randomly then I start thinking about the board itself.  And by the way if you ever call me again at 1:15 AM on a Saturday night while I am on vacation again for something like this (especially when you KNOW I am on vacation) I will make the 8 hour drive to your house and drop kick your machines down the stairs.

lol sorry jim i panicked Cry Laughing  never thoght a alarm that lousd would be on a slot machine .....gettin back to this problem after playin this all day again today after sticken a bill in the bv same problem occured today but the wierd thing about it was after it said get attendant it went blank on the screen...i shut it down and rebooted it and still was blank then i pulled the validater out and repoped it in and it went through the process of holdind the reset button for 3 seconds  and closing the door.... then it worked fine after that..... both times the machine frooze like that after i put a 100 bill in it ...... my noves guess is the reject limit was set at 00 the first time this happened and the second time it was set at 10 so now i set the limit at 90.....im thinken if you keep tryen to stick a 100 bill in the bv and it keeps rejectin it after like 10 times the machine would lock up? this could of caused it????? but i ant no expert !!!! i just cant believe no one knows the answer to this problem with most of you guys  are slot dealers....lol bust gut laughing

i talked to the builder of my machine he said it could be 3 things the bill validater or the settings of the bill balidater where i had to set the bill reject to ignored so it would takr 100s  or the reject limit whick now i set to 90 or he said the base chip might not be in all the way...... also  he told me i should send get a  copy of the base chip incase if i break or bend a prong off the base chip the machine will be useless lol....

Pull the white plunger on the cherry switch.
The MPU will think the door is closed.
But that's my own modification...similar to Bally Pro Slot 5500 machines.

For you, open the door and press the service credit button on the coin in optics board.
Each press gives you one credit, then press the spin button.
