Scratch Head Greetings all.  I am wanting to get started troubleshooting and repairing some of our nexgens.  My manager and I tried to set up some components on my bench to get a display going but failed. Can anyone tell me if I can or what I need to get a set up going?  I just want to get a display going for now. Any advice on test equip would be appreciated also. Thanks in advance.

What am I doing wrong?  I have the 18V ac that we use plugged into the adapter cable to the  BE II P1 power in that says 24 vac/dc. I have a nexgen plugged into P2, Nexgen cabled to a card reader and a harness plugged into the BE II  slot machine interface. I even plugged the J1: to BE II P6 jumper hooked up. But the harness is not connected to anything. I don't have any experiance with egd's. I'm learning from the slot techs here. (tryng to). Do I need to hook up anything to the interface cable? I do have a compact flash in the nex gen.

Hi

Have you tested the parts you are using on the floor ? Even if there is no comms to a server your LCD should still come up.

FIGURED IT OUT. :3-I was only using the small part of the BEII to display harness. Did not realize the long part is cross connected. Duh!
